These are Edlund's finest.They're stainless steel and made right here in America.I bought these to supplement the old pair of Edlund's 12" chef's tongs which were leaving me with warm fingers when at the patio grill for any length of time. The 16" reach of these are what you want when dealing with a hot grill or a big camp fire. I looked at the local restaurant supply place and nothing was of the quality of my 12" tongs, just the chinese junk and plastic grippers and flimsy salad tongs. So I googled Edlund tongs and got Amazon. I've had good luck here so I ordered them.Back to the tongs, these are about as twice as thick as the flimsy ones you normally see at the salad bar or in your commie china supplied Walmart. The thickness and robust construction gives you a good grip on heavy stuff like that monster thick Delmonico steak you really want for dinner. Yes you do want it. Unlike the cheap tongs these won't flex and have good scalloped edges that won't drop your food or have the tips get bent out of shape with misuse.For just a few bucks more buy the ones that will last a lifetime.Oh, the 12" ones I have........I found under the deck when I moved in tangled in the weeds for what I guess would be a few years. I hit them with an scrub pad and they were like new. They can be abused and not show it.

I purchased another pair of tongs a year ago where the tong part is too flat. I'd drop things off the grill instead of flip them. This pair is amazingly superior. Nice and long so I don't have to worry about my hand getting too hot.

Lock feature was missing, these are too huge to have without the lock. Fail.The 12 inch ones are great.Seller sent a replacement for the 16 inch tongs. Neither pair had a lock. The description is wrong. BUYER BEWARE.

I really love these tongs. I also have the short version. They are really versatile for cooking, grilling, tossing salads. Used by professionals in restaurants.This is my second pair. After many years, the spring broke in the first pair. I called Edlund and they mailed me a new spring. I will always remember that and buy their products.

I have two pair of tongs from the same company, and I gotta say there is a very best out there and the value is exceptional

Does the job and keeps your hands mostly free from the heat of the grill. Strong grip and one thing I like most is that you don't even need to open them up fully as in the closed position, there is still room enough to pick up a steak tips or hot dog/ sausage. I liked so much, I bought a second pair.

Good product and easy to use. It is perfect for the barbecue because of is length. It cleans easily; we rinse it off and throw it in the dishwasher.
