Cedar & Spice - Handmade Luxury Shaving Soap from Chiseled Face Groomatorium

I bought this soap for my son. First he loved the scent, after use he said it was worth every penny I paid for it. I will be purchasing more since he really loves it.

Great lather and protection, I like and recommend this shaving soap to anyone who doesn’t mind a weak sent. I’m still an on the search for a lasting sent with a good lather.

This is my 2nd purchase from Chiseled Face and I am not disappointed. Very unique smell really does have Cedar and Spice. Very smooth and excellent shave with straight, safety and cartridge razors.

I bought a tin of this shave soap and it has lasted a very long time. Smells good and works up a great lather. If you want to be done buying shave saop, then buy this and you are done for years--really.Great product, just buy it.

Chiseled Face, as a shaving product, is excellent. The quality of the lather, the range of scents, and the cost make it my favorite shaving soap. Cedar & Spice, which smells like a blend between Midnight Stag and Summer Storm, is by far my favorite scent. I can clearly smell cedar, leather, sweet spices, and a hint of menthol. It is a masculine and well rounded smell.If you are considering buying this product, do yourself a solid and buy the matching aftershave. Three seconds of stinging for two-three hours of light scent and smooth skin!

I don't want to be too harsh in my review because my gripe is personal and subjective. I feel that the scent of this product is horrible and nowhere near how it is described. The best way I'd describe it is that is smells like someone threw diesel fuel and gasoline inside a cedar closet, set it on fire, put it out and made you stand inside with the door closed. In short, it's a noxious, chemically, cedar smell. I asked 8 people (men and women) to have a sniff and no one liked it, so it wasn't just me. Again, to be fair, scent is subjective and this is my opinion and not the fault of the manufacturer.I'm not complaining, I won't be requesting a refund, etc., because I feel that's unfair to the company. My review is more about giving others a proper heads up that this likely won't be the spicy, sexy scent they imagine. Have you ever seen the "Sex Panther" scene from Anchor Man? That's how I felt and the reaction I got from friends. lol Which ties in nicely to the fact that if I liked the soap's scent, I was going to buy a bottle of the aftershave to complement it.On the positive side, this is my first Chiseled Man product ever purchased and I'll give points for it being a decent shaving soap. It's a "soft" soap, which I prefer, and that makes it fast and easy to use without much preparation. I feel it lathers nicely and provides a reasonably slick interface between skin and blade.I will certainly try other CM soaps in the future but for now, I'm still searching for that sexy, sensual spicy scent that's perfect for winter.

Pros: The fragrance is great. The high tallow ratio means that this foams up very nicely. Most importantly, the high tallow ratio means that the glide is superb. I use a single-edge razor to contour and this product lets me deliver.Cons: I wish the puck would come in a form that I could put in my dish. As is, I just use the plastic container it comes in. If you decide to take it out you will need a much, much bigger puck dish than normal.

My husband's new favorite shaving soap. Will definitely be ordering again!
