Worth it.
After doing quite a bit of research, I decided on this tub mat for my infant daughter who had grown out of the laundry basket idea and need a little more freedom in the tub. Many other mats had reviews that exposed issues with breakage and mold growth. We have a tile shower, and at bath time, I spray down the floor of the tub with a little water, lay the mat down, then step on it to make it stick. I fill the tub, and then when we are done I take it out and just stick it to the wall to drip dry! Then a couple hours later I fold it in fourth and toss it under the sink for the next bath time. It is absolutely perfect. It sticks really well, and doesn't slide at all when i'm stepping on it to secure it, and my little one has a lot of traction for her tiny feet. I can't say how it would perform for long term use on the floor of the tub, but regular washings (as in pull it up and wash the suction cups) I think would do a lot for keeping mold down. I like that the mat itself is a little shorter than my smaller-than-most-bathtub size, and it is just a tiny bit raised off the tub surface due to the size of the suction cups. it's got a lot of breathability under it. If you're shopping for a decent affordable mat, so far I'd say this might be your best bet. It was for us!

Great suction, easy to install
This is a durable mat that does exactly as it states. It really is non-slip and stays securely in place after you install it. I purchased this for my 3 year old's bath time and it serves that purpose well. It isn't the softest mat, but it isn't uncomfortable for her either. I'd rather the mat be secure than super soft and flimsy anyhow. It may be an issue for a heavier adult that intends to use the mat for very long bath sessions - might end up with some hexagonal imprints on your backside! I took off a star because it did have an unpleasant smell for a few days after opening it. I soaked the mat a few times per the instructions and let it air out for a couple days, and have had no issues since. This mat is also super easy to maintain - just pluck it up after each use and rinse and it looks like new again.

Sticks good, doesn't slip.
Good product! After my father slipped twice in one year and cracked a rib while getting out of his bathtub, I decided I had to do something to prevent that. His bathtub originally had texture in the bottom, but the tub is almost 35 years old and has somewhat smoothed out. This Gorilla mat sticks very well to the bottom of his tub. Dad said the only problem was, with this full size bath mat in place he couldn't slide down into the tub while he's taking a bath, so he cut the mat in half. That's fine. It will simply last twice as long. I'm very happy w the quality of this product. It should protect from broken ribs in the future, and that makes it pretty valuable. I repeat, it does stick really well. But neither Dad nor Mom have any trouble pulling the mat up after their bath. They lay it across the side of the tub to let it dry till their next bath. Good job on this by whoever designed it. Gives me some peace of mind.

Descent not Great read Why
It's good in quality. But don't be under an impression that it won't catch up soap and smudge and won't turn yellow. It catches up less than my previous mats coz that one was a full mat this has open spaces in between. I understand it's Gorilla and the stick would be great but then while shower etc no one rubs against it you simply stand on it. So except if it is a very cheaply made mat it would loose it's position. Else most mats over $10 should stick pretty well. This is clear plastic so that's why you need to clean it every few weeks else it would show a Lil bit of pale hello catchup. Overall a descent mat.

Great looking and the longer mat works better!
This is so much better than our old mat. It fits a standard tub better so that when you are standing under the shower head, your feet are on the mat, and when you get out of the tub at the other end, you are still on the mat. When my husband fell getting out of the tub with our older shorter mat, that convinced me to get the Gorilla Grip mat. The clear plastic looks good on our white tub and all the suction cups work great. I love that it has antibacterial properties. Our old one did not and it easily got slimy underneath. I know this one can go in the washing machine, but I only have spritzed it with bathroom cleaner with it in the tub and gave it a quick rinse. That method works great. If I had another tub, I'd get this again in a heartbeat. My husband wasn't hurt in his fall, but why did we wait for a fall to buy this? It's great!

These are the best bath mats for the price
These are the best bath mats for the price. We do a lot of remodels where people want a vintage style tub (slick, flat surface) and I put these in each one of them. The surprising thing for me is how nice the clear color looks. It's very basic, but it works and looks good. The way I install them is:Clean tubTurn shower on for 20 seconds or soLay the mat in the tubStand on the mat, moving your feet around on it to help the suction cups take holdTurn shower on for 20 secondsYou're done. Probably the highest compliment I can pay is my near 70 year old mother lives with my wife and our kids. She's slip-prone, has a classic tub in her bathroom and the first thing I bought for it was one of these mats.

parents beware
It's very durable and works well. It also feels comfortable on your feet unlike as lot of mats where you can feel the suction cups.. i purchased it for my 9 month old and he hasn't slipped even after sitting down, standing up and crawling around. Unfortunately, I had to throw the mat away because of the smell. It smells heavily of plastic chermicals and it won't go away. My boyfriend pointed out that our son smells like plastic after I gave him a bath. It wasn't just the first use, but it still smells after taking several baths and showers. Not good for my son to inhale... Just giving parents a heads up. Go for a BPA, latex, and PVC free mat so the chemicals don't linger on your child's skin. If you don't mind the smell then this is a good purchase because the quality is great....

The grip is good, but not great
The grip is good, but not great. I cannot say it's a lot better than other mats I've used, but I can say it is at least somewhat better. The real issue I have with the mat is that it has a "memory" and remains curled even month later now it will not remain flat. The one end is bowed and will not stay stuck to the floor. It does have a nice texture on top that provides adequate traction.
