I absolutely love these Sea King playing cards. The quality feels premium right out of the box, and even the packaging has a refined, elegant look to it. The cards themselves are beautifully designed, with intricate backs and face cards that stand out in detail. There’s a glossy finish and play at first, but they break in nicely with a few shuffles, and overall feel very durable. Your standard card-deck, so it's easy to learn, and the numbers and faces are easy to read. I also love the deep blue used for the dark-suited cards, which makes it feel even a little more regal. They’re beautiful cards. With the usual USPC quality. I love many but not all of the fun new designs they’ve been coming up with. The Verbena deck is another favorite. With the colors and fonts customized to the feel of the design. I lost a couple of the cards but that’s entirely on me. lol. I like them enough that if the stray cards don’t reappear, I WILL buy another one of these. Using it for card magic and it makes a nice impression.

I love the design of this deck. The face cards and aces especially have very elegant line art and they are of fine quality. My only complaint is that the centering of the cards are off a bit. This is clearly a quality control issue during manufacturing. They are still certainly usable, but this is a noticeable flaw to me, maybe because I've worked with graphic design for a lot of years. Disappointing for a premium deck where appearance is important.

My son loves this deck a lot! We use it for family game nights all the time. The quality is amazing and the cards are really unique. He's become a collector ever since getting this deck.

Ich habe das Bicycle Dark Mode-Deck in den letzten Monaten mehrfach bei Spieleabenden mit Freunden, beim Poker-Abend und auch einfach nur zum Herumprobieren benutzt – und möchte hier meine ehrlichen Erfahrungen mitteilen. Schon beim Auspacken macht das Deck visuell direkt Eindruck: Die Karten-Rückseiten und –Gesichter sind in einem modernen Dark Mode-Design gehalten – mit tiefem Schwarz und kontrastreichen, leuchtenden Farben, die mich sofort an Interfaces im Dunkelmodus von Smartphones erinnern. Dieses Design hebt sich deutlich von klassischen weißen Spielkarten ab und sieht richtig stylisch aus – besonders wenn man öfter mit Karten spielt und mehrere Decks besitzt. Das futuristische Flair macht die Karten zu einem echten Hingucker auf dem Tisch und sorgt oft für Kommentare von Spielpartnern – allein dafür lohnt sich der Griff schon, wenn du etwas anderes suchst als die Standarddecks. Beim Mischen und Austeilen spielt das Deck sich überraschend angenehm und sowohl beim einfachen Mischen als auch bei ausgefeilteren Kartentricks gut funktioniert. Ich habe die Karten für klassische Kartenspiele wie Poker, Mau-Mau und auch für einfache Cardistry-Züge genutzt und fand sie durchweg handlich. Die Qualität des Materials fühlt sich solide an und wirkt deutlich wertiger als günstige No-Name-Alternativen. Ein Punkt, den ich persönlich als kleinen Nachteil empfunden habe: Durch das dunkle Design sind Zahlen und Symbole bei schwachem Licht nicht ganz so gut lesbar wie bei traditionellen Decks. Gerade am Anfang musste ich manchmal kurz überlegen, welche Karte ich vor mir habe. Das ist sicher Geschmackssache – für mich war es kein Deal-Breaker, aber erwähnenswert. Ein weiteres Mini-Problem ist, dass bei längerem Spielen manchmal die dunkle Farbe auf die Fingerspitzen übergeht, wenn man intensiver mischt oder fächert – das ist kein großes Problem, aber ein kleiner Nachteil gegenüber klassischen weißen Karten. Nach mehreren Runden Spielen behalten die Karten ihre Form gut bei, knicken nicht schnell und auch das Finish bleibt weitgehend intakt. Für meine regelmäßigen Spieleabende fühlt sich das Deck überraschend langlebig an, besonders für den Preis.
