Go Masters ; modern latest
I failed to pre read the instructions so whilst setting up I hadn't realised that the App is pretty much central to play and I like Board games that don't require phones as a break for the kids-They however enjoyed it-wish the playing pieces were solid plastic and not card to I would last longer-children had fun with it and more that generations for sure.

A hybrid board game...
For those that know their board games you will enjoy this one. It's a hybrid of Ludo and Trivial Pursuit with a little monopoly money thrown in.The aim of the game is like Ludo, one has to move his / her cardboard character around the board until reaching his / her starting point before moving to the centre of the board, like Ludo but with two extra starting points that move either vertically or horizontally, depending on the position of the board, to the ccentre.Moving around the board is like Trivial Pursuit in that one has to answer questions.Sadly, I cannot make a complete evaluation of this game as the one sent to me has no sponsor tokens or subscriber vouchers. However, I can still rate this game on what I did receive in the box as the contents do give me a good idea of how the game will be played and the many hours of fun (and arguments) a family will have playing it.I am recommending this as it is a good quality game and is very good for family entertainment, when one can get the kids away from the TV and games consoles. It will provide many hours of quality family time and will improve knowledge amongst some subjects such as travel and technology. It is good value but I felt I did have to only give it 4*s as I cannot evaluate the parts I didn't receive of which will be included in product if purchased., Had the full contents been available to me I am sure this game would have received a 5* rating.

Spent more time reading the instructions than playing the game
This is the first board game I've played in a while. Love the board! It's vibrant, good quality and not overly busy. After reading the rules, I wasn't really sure what was going on, especially with the cards, but I went on to try and wing it as we played, hoping it would make more sense. It doesn't say to shuffle the cards, but I did, especially the challenges as they were all sectioned in their categories in the pile. There's no indication as to what the app is called but luckily it is the same name as the board game. The toys and technology need to be different colours and not just a different shade of blue. I read the wrong challenge once as they're too similar. What I don't understand is if I have 3 first cards from the channels, can I collect more? As I haven't conquered them. The 30 second timer for the challenges is on the app, which would have been useful if they'd said. I found there was a lot to the instructions and they weren't easy to remember. Trying to search for specific information wasn't easy either on a grey scale instructions sheet. As I continued to play, I found myself coming up with more questions. When you reach 50,000 subs, do you automatically move up from super to mega pro and same at 100,000 subs from mega to master? Or do you need to be on the channel to move up to pro level. Do you have to reach 50,000 and 100,000 subs per channel to move up or can you move up the pro levels on all the channels at the same time? If so, I feel like I'm just making video after video of the same thing. What's the point of the profile cards? If you steal a pro channel card and you both have one, how does this work for conquering it? Can I steal one if I already have 3? None of these questions were answered in the instructions.Honestly, I spent more time reading the instructions than playing the game. If I put this in the cupboard for 6 months, I would be put off getting it back out because of having to go through the instructions again. I found making the videos a bit pointless as they don't really reward us with anything apart from the final one. In the end, I skipped making the videos until the final challenge. Also, once I'd used the app once through, I had to delete it and reinstall to clear the memory and be able to use it again. Overall, I feel there's potential in this game, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The best part is the challenges, the rest is frustrating and boring.

Family games nights means no phone but you need to download a app to play properly. 📵
Our Family games night turned very boring with this game, I just didn’t understand it one bit.The kids got very excited on the name of this game “Go Masters YouTubers “ but after Approx 10 mins one child disappeared to the toilet and never came back and then the other child decided she had a headache and couldn’t play it any more.I was actually quite happy when this happened as I couldn’t wait for this game to be over, I felt like I never ever read so much in my life, the instructions seemed to be out everything couple of minutes and you had to read it more then once to fully understand it.Family games night means - a couple of hours without phones iPads or computers but to play this game properly you needed to download a App which mean you need a device to play alongside the game.

Good but you need the app to make this work well
GO Masters-Youtubers Edition is an interesting take on traditional board games, bringing them bang up to date. Unfortunately this does mean memorising a whole new bunch of instructions as well, so be prepared for your first game to be a bit on the long side as you take that learning curve. After a few games you do get into the swing of things and it's quite a fun game, moving around the board answering questions, it's also a good game for teens to be involved in as it appeals to them more. The app is required for playing properly so you need at least one phone with you.
