Ratchet lugging tool
This very product is very wonderful and fun to use. And the quality is amazing and suitable for panel building jobs for auto flex- cable lugging exercise. I will also rate it a 5 star .

Good for small wire crimping
I bought this crimper for crimping some 8 and 10 AWG lugs and splices. I considered a number of manual and hydraulic type crimpers but settled on this one since it had good reviews and covered the range of wire sizes that I typically work with. It makes secure crimps and leaves a nice clean indentation in the lug or splice. I like the design of this crimper since it makes consistently good crimps when you use the proper wire size slot on the jaws and fully squeeze the handle. Although less convenient, I prefer to use non insulated splices with heat shrink tubing. Nice quality crimper.

Great crimper, if you use it properly
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate having all of the different sizes in one tool. I’m a wiring guy for the public utilities and this is great…. As long as you don’t let someone borrow it. Gave it to a coworker to use on a larger crimp and he messed up the ratchet on the first go. Granted I didn’t think it was that difficult of a concept but apparently old rammer jammer didn’t know how to use it so he broke it with brute force. This tool ratchets in the sense that it locks the jaws as you go. NOT in that you crank it half way and pull it apart to crank on it again. This is how he destroyed the ratchet on mine. Now it doesn’t stay closed when it’s in my tool bag. It still crimps. But now it gets caught on everything. You must fully crimp the lug to release it or put tension on the handle so that you can hit the manual release lever. Bought a replacement and haven’t had any issues with it.I wish the jaws had the American standard gauge on it but I just labeled mine for ease of use

Outstanding
I build automotive harnesses at work all day and for lugs on large ground and power wires, these are phenomenal. Way easier than the monster crimpers we have that you need to rest on a bench and use two hands. For 4awg or larger, these are flawless. Zero complaints.Love how they stamp the lug with the number of the gauge too.

So far, so good
I've only used it a few times, but it did the job pretty well for a cheap, big gauge crimper. Surprisingly heavy and flex-free. No flimsy feeling at all. My only complaint is that the size markers on the jaw notches are metric. I'll try stamping AWG numbers on there and see if that works.

Excellent tool for the right job
I would not consider these to be ever day professional crimpers as the crimp wears over time. Excellent tool for using ad-hoc basis to do the occasional crimping session.

Works good on crimping
No moving parts and I think it will last a long time. It works great. On my number six grounding wires. The numbering system could be geared to North America by putting number six on the tool and not the metric system.
