I just received and installed my new replacement filter. It fit my LG refrigerator perfectly. After I installed it I let a couple of gallons flow through and dumped it as I was told to do with my original filter. After that I checked and there were no leaks, and the water came out clear. This is a lower cost alternative to replacing my water filter. It does seem a little bit smaller than the original, not much but a little, I don't think that would affect the function of the filter one bit. I utilize customer reviews heavily when I am trying to decide on a purchase and consider reviews a valuable tool for us as consumers to make informed choices as to where we spend our money. Sometimes I will come back and give more information should I notice new things along the way. When looking at reviews I do take into consideration personal preference that may not reflect the product itself. First off, it is a twelve buck filter! It will not filter out sulfur, hard water, certain chemical smells and tastes. Also check your fridge lines, if you ran a filter past its prime for awhile and it stopped working but you kept using it your line to the front of the fridge could be tainted. Install a new filter and run a lot of water through it to flush the hose. I run a new one every three months and at every 6 months flush my system. It is still miles cheaper than bottled and my ice tastes great.

This worked as a replacement for a Kenmore Refridgerator that needed a filter change. At first I thought the filter was bad because it was leaking and wouldn't stop even after I "purged the system". I read through the comments and found that you needed to purge a lot of water (about 3-4 gallons) to get all of the air out of the system. After I did that I have not had any leaking or dripping with this filter installed.

It would be nice if they would include instructions with the filter. The fridge was new to us and the place to screw the filter into is hidden up under a plastic shield. After emptying the fridge, we found it and the filter is working well. I expect it to expire quickly because of the rust in the pipes. But at least there's some decent drinking water for now.

Bought the PerfectPure Water Filter in 08/2016 and about to replace it. I used a HM digital water quality tester Model TDS-EZ also bought from amazon. First installed the water quality range was from 120-123ppm and at 6 months the water quality level is still at 120-123ppm at room temp. My house tap water is at 140-143ppm at room temp. My Britta water filter ranges 49-52ppm at room temp. PerfectPure Water filter was OK, water tasted fine. My wife did bump the filter once that wiggled it loose enough to leak a little until i tightened it back in. I will be looking at other water filters for my LG fridge. This is the second none LG brand water filter i've used. This was better than the LG brand filter.

This was a pleasant surprise,I had my doubts because other replacements sell for three times the price and even more in some places . The water taste great , the shipping was fast and really the whole experience was seamless. Overall I had my reservations because they say you get what you pay for idisagree I feel like I robbed this company got what I needed for way less than I thought I should have paid.
