my hometown
I have loved going through this book as it evokes many memories of my childhood. Everyone of the 3300. people (population in the 60's) should have a copy,

Great for East Tennesseans
We gave this as a gift to my husbands 89 year-old grandmother who lives in Sevierville. She loved that this represented her hometown. The book was well written and had tons of photos. It had many photos from the 1920s and some from the 1970s and a few in between. Alot of the photos seemed to be of the same people over and over. This would be a great gift for someone who is from there, especially an elderly person who remembers the old buildings and places from long ago. I only wish there was a little more variety in the dates and people in the photos.

Sevierville in the 30's and 40's.
This was a great photographic review of the little town back then. Later, the commercial development has changed things but the courthouse remains (plus Dolly).
