Pronstoor Mini Teleprompter Phone and DSLR Recording Teleprompter with Remote Control, Portable Inscriber Mobile Video Teleprompter

I’ve used a teleprompter for several years at home but wanted something smaller that I could take with me when I’m recording scripted videos on location. I’m using a DSLR style camera to film and a smartphone running Parrot teleprompter software to show the script. Straight out of the box this unit works well and is actually fairly robustly built especially for the price. The Bluetooth remote control is very useful though I did find it tended to need pairing after switching it off, that could just be my phone and wasn’t a huge inconvenience.I did however have two issues with its design both of which I was able to easily remedy.Issue one is the mounting of the unit to the lens. The end of my particular lens actually moves with focusing, this means that the focusing element of the lens is holding the weight of the teleprompter and phone and any bumping, mounting of the phone ect could stress the focus mechanism of an expensive lens. On a lens without this moving element I would be less worried.I use the long Manfrotto style plates and the DJI ronin one which I typically have installed actually has a tapped hole (3mm I think) at the front (see picture). My work around was to drill a small hole in the back plate of the teleprompter, reinforce it with a metal bar (large washer would probably do) and then screw the teleprompter to the quick release plate. (You have to have camera on tripod first). This seems to me to be much more secure and safer.The second issue was that there are two plastic panels that stick out either side for mounting mobile phones. These make the unit much larger to pack, and more importantly obscure the camera’s flip out screen. Since I’m pretty sure my 3mm hole invalidated my warranty I removed both of these so I can now more easily see the screen (see pics) when in use and it’s much smaller to pack.I’d still highly recommend the unit but would recommend some alternative method of holding it if you have lenses with a moving filter thread.

I do not wish to criticise the seller or the item as such. However, after delivery, I attempted to fit it to my Panasonic Lumix FZ330 bridge camera and the camera did not fit tightly and the autofocus stopped the camera from focussing through the mirrored lens. None of this is the fault of the seller or the product or the seller but buyers should beware that it is not compatible with this type of camera, hence why I do not feel that I can return it and ask for a refund. This is a case of caveat emptor.

Il prodotto è davvero utile e ben progettato, il vetro permette di stare anche a parecchi metri dall’inquadratura anche usando un semplice smartphone. L’unico difetto riscontrato è la mancanza di un anello adattatore per obiettivi da 40.5

The media could not be loaded.  J'avais besoin d'un prompteur, mon choix c'est porté sur celui-ci.En l'état il remplit exactement sa mission.En revanche là où je ne lui met pas la note maximal c'est que il y a pas d'application dédiée.Le fabriquant nous conseille une application en particulier mais qui sans passé par la version payante (11€) et absolument pas viable.Et c'est une mauvaise surprise car on débourse une cinquantaine d'euros pour se rendre compte qu'il faut encore allongé le bras.

Angekommen und sofort die Mängel bemerkt. Aussehen, Qualität und Materialien sind wirklich schlecht. Es sieht gebraucht aus. Zerkratzt und schmutzig. Schickte zurück.

Appena aperto il case, con ottima esperienza di unboxing, mi sono trovato davanti ad un oggetto che apparentemente sembrava leggero ed instabile, anche fosse molto delicato.in realtà non è così ottima plastica veloce applicazione qualità video ottima rifrazione dello specchio ed il suo posizionamento perfetti anche da oltre 2 m, sono molto soddisfatto dell’acquisto, per di più il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo ovviamente sul mercato ci saranno prodotti più più professionali ma questo è veramente il top, unica pecca l’impossibilità di richiuderlo e quindi occupa un po’ di spazio
