Superb Hydration Vest w/ Multiple Uses
Doing long runs for marathon training, this vest has been indispensable in keeping me hydrated and holding gels, keys plus my phone. I am a road runner and this vest is perfect for a multitude of sports...not just trail running. I was using a Osprey Rev 1.5 prior to purchasing this vest and while this fits much more like a vest (the Rev 1.5 fit more like a backpack of sorts), the front pockets have been so helpful in allowing me to cram many gels in the pockets along with my Samsung S10e. The 1.5L bladder will give you some bounce as well as sloshing but when you are filling up the bladder, be sure to suck out any air which will eliminate both issues. I am 6'3'' and wear a 15 34 dress shirt and the S/M size fits perfectly. I tried the Large on in a local REI and it was just a bit too roomy whereas the S/M fits like a glove. The vest can get fairly hot to wear when out running, especially in summer temperatures, so be prepared that the back of your shirt will probably get soaked with sweat...at least that is what I have noticed. From a multi-use aspect, I have ran with it on rainy days without the hydration bladder and put my phone in the back waterproof pocket to keep it dry (as I normally wear my phone on an arm holder) and also gone for rides on my road bike with the kids in a similar fashion by wearing it without the bladder to hold keys, phones etc. Definitely a great vest, highly recommended!

Excellent quality
Update: Have now put many hundreds of miles on this vest, and have WASHED it over a dozen times. Used as designed, your vest will get filthy sweaty and must stand up to regular thorough cleanings. I wash mine in a washing machine, HOT water with a few drops of chlorine bleach. After a dozen cycles, NO signs of wear. Pockets have not stretched, zippers and pulls fine, straps and clips all fine.I have a little over 100 miles on this vest, some on a treadmill and some on the road. This is my first vest. I ran with a belt for almost 20 years, with an average burn rate of 75 ml of water/mile when temps are over 70F. Belts maxed out at 6-8 miles, and I regularly run 10's now. Any vest will be a bother relative to a belt, but I need a minimum of 1L regularly. Go to a good retailer, and try on several brands. Osprey makes an excellent hiking pack, and this vest is no different. Every strap and pocket feel solid and well stitched. I am not concerned about saving 6 ozs on the vest, when I'm putting a kilo of water etc IN the vest. Thus far the vest stays put when running, and workmanship feels excellent. I am using 2x450 ml flexible bottles in front, with a small mp3 player in the front pocket. I've removed the bladder in back, but will experiment with that and report later this spring. It will feel awkward for the first 4 runs; give it time, and experiment with loading in different ways. I finally have 'drinking on the run' nailed, by holding the bottles in place with the small bungees, and by pressing on the bottle when drinking. I have not yet found the best place for the mp3 player, as I don't want to press on that unit when squeezing the bottle. This is a solid vest that I expect will last many years.

This pack is awesome!
This little running pack is awesome! It's comfortable, has a ton of pockets, and the water reservoir works perfectly. I've used it quite a few times with no wear and tear yet. Main things to keep in mind are: it's tight and form fitting so it can constrict your normal breathing somewhat and the water reservoir is hard to clean (as you should expect). These are not knocks against it because I knew that going in, but if you're unfamiliar, don't be surprised. I am completely satisfied with this product and would buy it again.

A must for long runs
I tried water bottles attached to the waist belt, but it felt uncomfortable with the sloshing. Hydro packs were a little better but were better suited for hikes and not running. The Osprey 1.5 had all the features I liked - open pockets for a protein bar, attached whistle, enough size to hold a water bottle, zippered pockets to secure keys or a phone, and, best of all, a magnetic bite valve retention so that it connects within proximity so you do not have to struggle. A key lessons is to fill the reservoir and then remove as much air as possible to reduce sloshing while running. Now, I can run, take a sip when necessary, and secure the bite valve without stopping or slowing down. The Osprey 1.5 has enabled me to increase my distance from a couple of miles to over 10 miles per run as bringing water bottles or money to purchase water is no longer a concern.

Great fit. Easily holds a plus size IPhone in the front left pocket.
I’m male 5’6,150lb. I previously used a hydration belt and then a Camelbak vest that I had for a decade. I ordered the small and it fits great. Plenty of pocket space. I like the smaller bladder. There is no bounce. The best part is that the front left pocket easily fits an iPhone Plus (mine is the 6+) with zero bounce. My only issue was the bite valve. It is very good quality but way to hard to bite. I just replaced it with my old one.
