Diamond Select Toys Aliens: Alien Warrior Cookie Jar

This thing is so awesome. It looks really cool and it's HUGE. The picture is not accurate, though. It's not green at all - it's all black, and glossy/shiny. I don't mind though, because I think it looks more like the slimy black alien queen.

After reading reviews I was concerned about the detail or lack thereof. I was pleasantly surprised by the detail it has. I was also expecting it to be heavier than what it is, but even better that it isn't. It is a glazed finish and not matte as the stock photo appears; I prefer it glazed since, to me, it looks more like an Alien/Xenomorph.

Boyfriend loves it! Great quality. Looks amazing in our kitchen!

I have to agree with other reviewers that the actual product is not what you are seeing in this photo which is most likely the phenomenal original sculpt. Some of the textures seen here are almost entirely absent. There is a lot less detail in the jar itself and the paint job is very different, a glossy black which only further blurs these details. If you are familiar with Diamonds bust/bank line it is similarly disappointing in person. It is 12 inches tall, I am not sure why so many places are describing it as 18 inches. Still, for $40 it's a fun piece so I am giving it 3 stars, but as product photos and descriptions go I would struggle to give it 2.

Love it! I'm a big collector of alien merchandise and this jar is a great addition. Box is beautiful. Jar is shinny. Arrived fast and unharmed. Large.

Just received this, and opened with eager enthusiasm. Looks nothing like the picture featured. An amazing sculpt is destroyed by a shiny black glaze finish. Nothing like the matte black with eerie green highlights from the pictures on the Amazon page or the products box packaging! False advertising! The sculptor on this product should be well pissed, and you will be also if you purchase it based on the picture shown.

I love this cookie jar! A slight note, it's more black than the green the picture shows, and more glossy than the dull. But it's still awesome and it keeps my cookies nice and safe. I mean, who would want to risk a fight with a Xenomorph when they can buy their own cookies!

Cool sculpt but the paint job does not look as detailed as in the picture. Looks bland in person and a bit underwhelming. Disappointed.
