Great phono quality at a bargain price.
My old audiophile phono amp finally died & I could not afford a like for like replacement. I had been looking online & saw the Douk Audio range of valve amps. I settled on their updated Phono amp, not expecting too much because of the price, man was I wrong! The quality this little budget amp delivers is staggering, better than my old one, crisp tops, a substantial mid range & sonorous base, & a definite warmth of tone through the valves. I can run my Mac pro via the rca inputs for CDs & video sound. It also has a subwoofer output port (not that it needs one) & a bluetooth input to play music from your phone. All in all, a terrific, powerful little budget amp. Solved my problem!

Inexpensive but quality amplifier
Great amplifier bought it for my daughter, great sound to it. Valves can be a bit fiddly to put in but once you get the hang of it it does get easier. Really nice to look at aesthetically. Paired with some nice speakers and you will be surprised at sound. Practical for space saving. For the price you can't go wrong unless you want to buy something double the price.

Horris buzz
Mine makes a horrid buzz background sound. Not very nice. Looks OK but it's got interference on Audio input. Bluetooth seems OK . Sending mine back

Good but developed a bluetooth fault after 6 months...maybe look at other options
What a thought was a decent amp has been downgraded due to Blutooth fault capabilty after 6 months...this has now stopped the connectabilty of the unit to my devices.Reading other reviews it seems this is a common fault with this unit...cheap pcb components maybe.Shame only good for wired connections...awaiting supplier feedback..but not holding my breath?

Lets be honest
This little valve amp is does represent serious value for money. That is a fact. The valves do actually do something as i have tested the voltage in and out.The sound quality is OK, but lets be honest, if you really value your sound quality and consider yourself slightly clued up you are going to know this little amp isn't going to wow you.If you are someone who wants a happy little amp to power some bookshelf speakers and isn't going to be paying attention to the layout of your room ( most important factor in home hifi ) then this little powerhouse is going to make you very happy especially at this price point, infact i have listened to more expensive amps that sound alot worse than this amp. I purchased one of these for my daughter and paired it with some Elac debut 2.0 b.6.2 bookshelf speakers and she is over the moon with a sub £ 400 hifi.

Great sounding valve amp
With so many amps to choose from I read the reviews for this one and took the plunge. The amp arrived well packaged and once unboxed clearly well made. Setting it up was quick and simple and when up and running the sound quality is impressive. Whether it is via Bluetooth, turntable or the connected CD player the soundstage is impressive. This is my first valve amp and I am impressed. It’s only been a few days but amazed by how compact the unit is and how it performs. Replacement valves are relatively cheap and can last a long time treated in the right way. This is a lot of amp for the money

Superb budget amp for hi res music over bluetooth
I was looking for a budget solution to get that old school warm HiFi quality sound from Hi-Res sources like Apple Music and Qobuz over Bluetooth. The Douk X1 is perfect for this.My iPhone and iPad connected easily, and the sound is superb, providing excellent detail, separation and clear deep bass out of my TL hifi speakers. The sound stage and especially the warmth of midrange vocals makes this system a joy to listen to all day long.I haven’t tried the Phono input yet, but the optical input also sounds great, bringing the same audio quality to my TV viewing. My only minor gripe is the lack of a remote to control the volume and input switching between Bluetooth and Optical from my TV.

Beautiful little Amplifier.
I bought a Pioneer turntable to play my vinyls on, but needed an amplifier to get some sound out the thing. I'm no expert in this field, + i've never even heard of the brand name - Douk Audio, but i'm really glad l have, because, (for me), the sound quality l get through my Usher S -520 speakers is nothing short of exceptional. The Bass + clarity is awesome, + l can hear every note of every instrument played, also every word sung is crystal clear. As for the price, it's a bargain when comparing with other amplifier prices. So if your looking or even thinking about getting yourself an amplifier, then look no further, this is the one for you, + you won't be disappointed.+ it's also Bluetooth enabled.
