I love this massaging and vibrating neck pillow and use this every night when I'm through spending six or eight or ten hours on the computer working. The fabric covering is very soft, but I didn't see any mention of the fabric it's made of, and the pillow is stuffed with polyester. It needs two AA batteries, which aren't included.This is a pretty cool gadget, and I love gadgets. The massage and vibration are exactly what I need after a long day of sitting and typing, and it works very well. It has three different modes of massage, which you can change by pushing a small button on the pillow, and that's how it turns off and on as well but with a different button.I believe this would be great for a child four years old or older - that's the company guidelines - because it would lull them into sleep, during which time, if you were on a long car trip, you would hear music if you dare and silence if you don't, either of which is better than a crying child for all concerned.This comes from a company named Fun and Function and has a Happiness Guarantee - if you aren't happy with the pillow, just get in touch with them and they'll fix things.Excellent product, a neck pillow that can snap around your neck or drape around it without the snap and massages and/or vibrates your neck. This is primarily designed for use with children over four on long car trips, when the pillow will more than likely lull them to sleep with its vibrations and massage. One of my children HATED long car trips, and I would have given anything to have had one of these back in those days. I use this pillow when I finish work at midnight or later to relax my neck and the uppermost part of my back. You can use this snapped or unsnapped, but snapped is recommended for using the vibration and massage. This is an excellent product that I highly recommend to anyone with recurrent neck stiffness and pain or anyone who has small children who don't like long car trips. Oh, it's also good for young children who have neck stiffness or pain, especially at bedtime.

This pillow worked well for my toddler but the vibration was a fail. I think it overstimulated or something. Perhaps use on an older child will render more favorable results.The material is thin and it held/retained some hair oils from coils that touched it.Prefer something more resistant to oil and water.
