The cup is actually well made. But not hand carved.
First, I liked the price. The ones on Etsy are 40 to 50 dollars or more. So I took a chance and was very pleased with the cup when it came. No care instructions, or anything to identify where it really came from. But a nice cup to use around the camp fire. I did give it a coating of food grade mineral oil. Nice grain in the wood. Very happy with the purchase.

Nice Kuksa but is made in china with some unknown wood, I like the Nordic wood and traditions

Beautiful
Bought this for my dad who both adores our Finnish roots and loves coffee, and he never stops using this beautiful mug! The wood traps in the heat so the outside of the mug never gets hot to the touch, and it keeps his coffee hot much longer than a typical ceramic mug does. Definitely will buy more of these.

Guys, this is actually a real birch gnarl kuksa. This is an excellent deal for the quality of product that you are getting.

Misleading
I didn't open the box for this one - it said "Made in China" on the box and I was looking for something made in a Nordic country. The mug looked like a nice size and weight though.;

luv it, just wish it was authentic and made in Finland. Mine had made in CHINA sticker on its base.
