Great small, low power and quiet PC - Very happy with it as a media server
I've owned prior CompuLab products, (2 x fit-pc1s, the original). They just worked. The first one'spurpose was as a 24x7x365 server for misc. things, starting with Cups/printing, NTP, Web pageproofing and master copy of misc. things. Eventually I added my music library turning it into amedia server. Then started copying my DVDs to it.Later when I needed something a bit faster for OS updates and future proofing, I looked atCompluLabs' current line, fitlets. Got one of the first fitlet-iA10s which was just fine. Added a1TB mSATA drive and some of my media was now available easily. But, I had to add anexternal 2TB 2.5" hard drive to get my entire collection moved.Enter the fitlet-H. It has the mSATA slot, (OS fully compatible between the models), AND a 2.5" diskslot. This 2.5" drive bay may not take 15mm high drives, but mine was only 9.5mm and works fine. Now I have enough space for all my media, a bit of growth and can mirror my OS partition! It was even possible to move my 1TB mSATA drive from my fitlet-iA10 to the fitlet-H without havingto reload the OS. The 2 x 8GB SODIMMs I bought actually sped up the -H model compared to the-iA10 model, since it used memory interleaving, (more than double the experienced memory speed).
