Q: What to do if water is just spritzing out? led light isn't going on so i don't think its the battery. sometimes the sensor works. any suggestions?

Make sure the strainer on the faucet Is clean also the water connections Has strainers make sure they are clean the solenoid in side the faucet may need replacing

Q: What do I do for a pop-up?

This is not the faucet for you then. It is a great faucet but I have it installed at work. Not need for a pop-up.

Q: How well does the sensor work? Do you have to hold your hands extremely close (almost touching) like others?

No, these sensors work very well and work at a good distance in any sink. We use them on industrial wash tubs (stainless) as well as in our restrooms. It comes with a water saving tag you can mount near the faucet; the internal battery will last up to 10 years. If you don't like the restricted water flow, you can use a store bought spray nozzle for more water flow.

Q: I assume this being solar powered it requires direct sunlight. So, is this meant for an outside sink or maybe a bathroom with a skylight?

The name is somewhat deceiving. It is "light powered" so indoor lights will work fine to keep it charged. I have these in multiple facilities and they work perfectly fine indoors.
