I utterly love this book & I very rarely bother to write reviews.. It is just the right amount of interesting information on different artists & is a balanced combination of photos, diagrams & writing. It is clearly organised chronologically in each century & then alphabetically too. Great to browse through or check up on details. My one ‘complaint’ is that it’s a fairly heavy book- you could definitely use it in a work out!!

If you are interested to know the art history you should go for this. Along with this you should two more books..1. Great Paintings & 2. The illustrated story of art by DK for better understanding.
