Rhino Rack Rhino Heavy Duty Eye Bolt

I just purchased a couple sets of these and they work great. I have a pioneer platform and use them to hold down camping totes. The straps easily fit through the tote lid holes and the design makes lock down fast. The heavy load rating makes them attractive as well. The ratchet is well made and sets quickly, holding tight. These are worth the purchase if you've been using basic ratchet straps or other tie downs not made for the rack.It does take a bit to install them and you will want to preset them to where your loads will be. They are not something you can easily move around when needed as you lock down the mount points once in place. It's not hard to move them but it means unscrewing them with an allen wrench. If you have changing loads you will want to think through how to set them up to account for this, or buy extras to suit all configurations.

I checked the compatibility chart on Rhino Rack page before ordering these. They are a perfect fit for the HD cross bars.I applied several coats of paint before installing them.They make great additional tire down points for my deck cover.Overall, a nice and easy kit to set up.

Great to hold Kayaks on the rack. The wraps are very sturdy and easy to work with.

These straps are well designed and meet high standards. I recommend this product.

Use this all the time with my pioneer rack. Quick to set up and tighten with the loops around the cleats, no hooks dropping while tensioning. Can’t really use the straps for anything that they will slide off. A specialized item in my opinion.

Held the Pelican Air on the RR platform very well on a recent road trip from Dallas, TX to Jacksonville, FL. I will get one more set.

These work… but.. only issue is once you feed the strap through and try and remove the lock that is supposed to easily pop off when unlocked (in the product video is comes off nice and easy) it’s almost impossible to remove unless using a flat head screw driver.For 10X the price of a normal strap I would expect the lock to remove easily once unlocked.Be prepared to use a flat head screwdriver to loosen the straps once installed.The straps feel strong since they are lined with steel wire, though it’s still only a theft deterrent since that could easily be cut with some wire cutters.Overall I’m ok with the extra step of using a screw driver since I know my boards and luggage are a bit more secure.
