This stuff is a lifesaver. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis as well as other ailments. Since I have started taking this I don't have as much pain daily. Hopefully it helps users thinking about purchasing this product.Turmeric/curcumin is typically used for it's anti-inflammatory properties however it is also a potent anti-oxidant and can elevate mood due to it binding to vitamin D3 receptors. Curcumin, the main biologically active compound found within turmeric, is typically what most users end up purchasing since you can consume more of the so-called active compound via extract than you can with the powdered root itself. In the past, I purchased curcumin for it's anti-inflammatory effects since I have had a nagging back injury that doesn't want to stop bothering me. The product I used with a curcumin C3 extract with Bioperine (a slight MAOI, extracted from black pepper to increase bio-availability of curcumin). I have to say, that product did not really ever "do much" for me, even after taking it for a period of two months.Today, I tried this brand and was honestly shocked. I was not really expecting much from this product, seeing as it is: 1. from a manufacturer I have never heard of, and 2. it is mainly powdered turmeric root with a small amount of extract and NO bioperine to increase bioavailability. However, to my disbelief, I have felt great all day today. My back hasn't been bothering me nearly as much as it usually does, especially when standing (which I did for 4 hours). I also felt a slight mood boost (may be placebo, may not be... or it could be the weather finally getting nice) which was pleasant. People I talked to noted that I seemed especially happy today which took me off guard a little.All in all, this is a *surprisingly* good product. I was not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind I have only taken this once - I may not get the same effects I got today in the future and if that is the case then I will update my review. But until then, I would actually recommend this brand even without it being mainly extract, including bioperine, or being from a well-known manufacturer.You may be wondering why I gave this 4 stars, though. Why? Because I would like to obtain a CoA from this company, and I have not yet. For those of you who do not know, a CoA is a certificate of analysis done by a 3rd-party company that analyzes the supplement for things like purity and lead content. I typically trust well-known manufacturers on these types of things, but from a random company I would like to see a CoA to know that what I am consuming is safe.Packaging, etc: Bottle came with shrinkwrap around the cap with a tamper-evident seal underneath the cap. Good sign. There was a small-ish piece of cotton inside the bottle to prevent things from moving around during shipping. The cotton is way too small to do that, but all the capsules were still intact when I opened it. The inside of the bottle smells STRONGLY of turmeric, which is also a good sign.ALSO: See the attached picture. The left capsule is the brand I have been taking for awhile, and the right is the this brand. I believe the left is a brighter color because it is mainly extract, while the right is mainly powdered root. I have always been lead to believe that brighter turmeric/curcumin is better, however I am not sure how valid that claim is after taking this.Hopefully this review helps you in making your purchasing decision!

Before I start my review I want to say that in last couple years or so I have been attempting to get more and more into natural products. This is because I am trying to get away from those toxic chemical compounds that are forced upon us by those nameless corporations whose only goal is maximum profit at the expense of the brainwashed consumer sheeple. I should tell you that I don't trust those scheming scientist types who huddle together in some dim lab deep in a corporate basement making toxic chemical soups from god-knows-what and they expect us to blindly ingest that stuff and put it on our bodies? That is probably why cancer rates are off the charts now days. Not me, no way no how. That is among the many reasons why I now search for and use more natural and healthy products whenever I can. If you are reading this you probably already know about all the wonderful benefits of curcumin. About a year or so ago I read the book "Grain Brain" by some doctor who really advocated taking Turmeric Curcumin every day to fight cancer. I have found out that there are studies done that show lower cancer rates in populations that regularly consume it. I looked into it some more and found out it has several other benefits in addition to fighting the horrible cancer. I take one pill in the morning and one in the evening so the levels of curcumin level out through the day and night. I have found that my achy back feels much better now that I have been taking it and I seem to have more energy during the day. I was very impressed and I think that this brand is a very high quality product. The pills appear to be a deep dark color to them. I believe the darker color means that the supplements are made with higher quality ingredients. From what I understand there is significant research that show oily food and pepper keep the liver from immediately filtering it out of your blood stream so you get the maximum. I did receive this product at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review because I have review allot of products on Amazon and lots of people have found my review to be helpful so I continue to review products that would otherwise not get many under this arrangement or that I am interested in.

I've been taking various forms of turmeric curcumin for quite some time. I use it for it's anti-inflammatory disease preventative properties. Studies have shown that curcumin combats cancer in the colon and also other types of cancer. This is a great supplement to take and it is pretty much the standard dose of 500 mg. per serving. I do take a little extra, usually two or three capsules daily if I feel pain of any kind.These days, many curcumin turmeric supplements contain the addition of pepper or bio-perrine for absorption. This one doesn't but I usually take these at mealtimes so I can add pepper to my food.
