Mong Lee Shang Dark Grass Jelly 19 oz (1 Pack)

I used to drink the grass jelly drink that comes in pop top cans, but then I went to a dim sum buffet that had grass jelly made from the grass jelly that comes in a can, and wow, what a difference! Instead of dark water with some small eighth inch by quarter inch brownish black cubes, here was black water with half inch by three quarter inch cubes! To make it yourself, cut the canned grass jelly into cubes, place them in a 2 liter pitcher with a half cup of sugar or sugar free sweetener like Sucanat or Stevia, let stand in the fridge overnight, stir, then heaven.

I was hoping it was one can but texture is not jelly for all 3 cans. I would describe it like a dried up scrambled egg with water in-between the layers of it. It smells like fish/shrimp. I think my cans went bad. :((

High amounts of starch.

I was hoping to love this! I wanted a healthy alternative to boba and unfortunately this was not it. I have heard this tastes very herbaly and minty, and i love those two things so i was excited. I tried it alone and in a drink and i just didnt really get an herbal or minty flavor. The flavor was hard to describe, it just tasted dirty and dingy to me im sorry i wish i had a better way to describe it. Not my cup of tea

Texture was fibrous and smelled like dead fish.
