Simple and effective
I'm not a mechanic I just do some minor work on my own Vehicles will change those things like this so this device is perfect for me I don't know maybe a mechanic would rather something more Universal or Hardy but for your average consumer this is more than enough to use at least on a 2015 Toyota Prius

worked for my 2017 toyota prius oil change
Wife went to an oil change express place for her first oil change. When time was due for another I bought this tool and could not for the life of me get the oil filter off. Wife returned to the oil change place and they had tightened the filter with a power tool and they could not get the item off themselves. They ended up breaking the plastic oil filter and ordered a metal one. As soon as the metal one was place with the correct amount of pressure I was able to complete my own oil change at home on the next oil change. Glad they broke the filter and not me.

Works, but fits a little too tight
It took me 5-10 minutes to get it on because it fits pretty tight. Required tapping with a dead blow. Worked great once on. My housing was on really tight. Had to use a 1-1/16 socket on the back of this to get the housing to break loose (I think the correct size might be 27mm, but this worked). The 3/8 square drive wasn’t strong enough. It kept slipping out.Once everything was back together and torqued down, I couldn’t get the thing to come off. I ended up attaching my ratchet to the square drive hole and levering it until I got a gap large enough to get a tire iron into. Took maybe 20 minutes. But at the end of the day, my oil filter housing looks perfectly new. No damage at all. That’s more than can be said for a lot of other brands of this tool. This one is also aluminum for anyone who cares.

Broke on first use
Did not hold up. The first time I used it, it broke and I had to take my car to get the oil done by someone.

Great product!
Finally the right product!! After trying local stores like autozone and Lowe’s and getting products that didn’t work, I ordered this. It for perfectly for my 2017 Prius V four. And it was a great price too! Thanks!

A bit fragile bit not bad if your filter housing is installed right.
This is a reasonably good budget tool if your filter housing was put on correctly. If on the other hand the oil change place you last visited used an impact gun to put on your filter (which many do because they're lazy) you're likely to break this tool getting your filter housing off and/or jam it onto your filter housing. I had both happen and it was VERY hard to get off. That being said once I had the filter housing out, using a socket wrench to put it back correctly (e.g. 18ft pounds not 100+) it worked pretty well, even with one of the teeth busted off.

Finally a perfect oil filter wrench for 2010 Toyota Prius
I have purchased three other different oil filter wrenches that said it would fit a 2010 Toyota Prius and have had no luck with them. Either the teeth were to far out not lining up with the oil filter teeth like it should. This oil filter wrench 🔧 was PERFECT for my daughters Prius. Absolutely recommend!

It works if you use it correctly
You need to make sure the tool is seated all the way.The reviews that said it broke on first try might have not seated it well. Also the tool may get stuck if the oil filter housing is dirty.
