Ikea Vandring Spar Rug, Low Pile, Brown, Green

My almost three year old son has a woodland animals themed bedroom (mostly owls) and I had looked for a long time to find a rug that would fit well with the theme.While it's true you can get this at Ikea for less, if you're like me and don't have an Ikea in your state, it's nice to have the option to purchase some things from there that you see and like, but would otherwise be unable to obtain, even if you have to pay more for them.I was thrilled to come across this rug that looked like it would fit nicely with the theme of my sons room. I went ahead and ordered it and have been very satisfied. It's a nice size, looks great and cleans up well when vacuumed, and also when I've used my carpet cleaner on it (because the cat decided it would be a great place to throw up!). I have to agree with the other reviewers that say it's pretty thin, but given the price it's to be expected and is fine for our needs which were mostly just to look cute in his room!

It's hard to describe the reason I'm docking a star on the rating of this rug. It has a very synthetic feel to it when I touch it, which I very much dislike. However, it is still fairly soft and very lightweight. And you just can't find tasteful and muted designs like this for a children's rug, not without spending a fortune. The low pile is very nice for cleaning up crushed Cheerios, and I absolutely love the way it looks in my kid's play area, I'm just glad I don't have to touch it all the time. Overall, I'm pleased with this product. It did take kind-of a long time to get to my house, arriving on the last day of the "estimated arrival" time period, 11 days after my order. It seemed like the seller shipped it quickly, so I don't feel I can fairly place any blame on them. Maybe Prime has just spoiled me.Overall, I'd recommend this rug.

I homeschool my children. I placed this rug as an entrance into our homeschool room, so that my young children "walk into the magical forest of learning!" It may sound cliche, but my children LOVE it every time we walk across it together! This very special rug really gives our classroom a fun uplifting feeling (then again I was raised reading Hans Christian Anderson's fairytales!)! Its nice that learning can be so positive :-) The quality is wonderful, and my children (& myself) get so much joy from the fun whimsical print, I would rate it even higher if I could! Thank you Ikea! :-)

Love this rug. Beautiful colors. Hours of fun and play with my 6 year old. We can play forest, fairies, have people sail down the river. And it doubles as just a nice rug for their room. Must be decent quality fibers as I am not sneezing constantly which happens with me and rugs/ carpets :)Very good quality. Hasn't shed. Nice rubber on the flip side so it doesn't move. Great product!

This was a gift for a baby shower. I selected this rug because it went with the theme for the baby's room and I figured there would be no other rugs as gifts to contend with. From what I heard, they really liked the rug, but since the baby's room is not yet completed, they could not give me a clear "loved it," or "disliked" it; which is why I gave the rating I did.

This rug is absolutely adorable. I bought the lambs and ivy enchanted forest wall decals and put them right above the molding on the wall in the corner of my grand babies room. Put the rug in the same corner. It turned out adorable. It makes a very special spot for my grandchildren when they come to Grammies house.

This rug is so cute! I actually bought this for my rabbits' living space. It makes the area look really cute, it is easy to clean. I'm hoping it will fit in my washing machine so I can give it a delicate cycle clean. I actually bought 2 but reserved the other one for when I expand their living area.

I was changing the nursery to a playroom with a forest theme. I ordered woodsy animal decals for the wall and used this in front of it. The rug pulled the whole look together and even the footprints line up with the respective animals. I love it, and the baby does, too!
