Spent some time comparing products to supplement our monitored security system and decided on these. Shipping was fast, price great, packaged well. The unit itself is a hard plastic molded material, at first it seemed a little lightweight but after starting it and trying out , it works like a powerhouse. The screws that came with the magnet part weren't very strong so we used our own. We also used a little of the stick tape to secure the alarm unit a little better than just using one screw to hang on. It was easy to install batteries, there is a learn button to enter code for first time, and choice of alarm or chime, the chime sounds like a loud doorbell, can understand it would be a great thing for tracking if kids come and go or even elders. The alarm is loud and likely to scare the pants off someone, I mean real loud! Overall we are very pleased to use and recommend.

I purchased several of these for exterior doors, and I recommend wearing ear protection while setting them up, because damn. All five worked great. There is no volume adjustment, and you an only arm/disarm in siren mode, so if you do choose chime mode, it will chime whenever the door is opened. They were very easy to set up and install, and where cheaper than any other similar options on amazon. Just make sure you buy AAA batteries as they’re not included. I’m rating five stars because the product was exactly as described and I had no issues with the product quality, it was everything I expected and serves as an extra layer of security. One thing I might add that I don’t think is mentioned is if triggered in siren mode and you are away, I don’t know if they will continue to sound, so this might cause complaints from neighbors who have to listen to it sound until you return home. If you want to use it to alert yourself of intruders while you’re home, both modes serve that purpose perfectly. And I think I even in chime mode it would still deter opportunists, as well.

I can't figure out how to get this thing to work. The alarm goes off when I haven't set it and when I do set it it won't go off... It's very frustrating and disappointing. About a month ago I fell asleep and forgot to lock my apartment somebody in my building walked in and stole my belongings. I felt so violated and was scared that it would happen again. I wanted this security system to make me feel more secure but I can't figure out how to work it's either not functioning right or I'm not understanding the directions properly. I don't think it's me as I have followed the directions very carefully and it still doesn't work. The person that brokens my apartment is getting evicted by the way he is a resident in my building I can't believe he walked in and I was asleep in my bed when he stole my belongings very scary!

It's ok, it works, it's just a low end product The thing - there is a very small print 🐾 instructions. With just the buttons you see. Need to get magnifying glass 4 digit code you can pick - Trun On - while Home - Turn On - leaving the home - Set it to chime every time the door opens. - Some Sorry of Panic Alarm With just buttons you see, you have to use a sequence of two or three keys to get all those set, turn of, Emergency Alarm etc... The instructions NEED to be handy and WITH A MAGNIFYING GLASS to get the thing to do what you want

Installation takes some patience to get the sensor in just the right spot. However, this might just be our door. Your experience might be different. It is LOUD! And, that is a good thing for an alarm, eh? You certainly can’t complain about the price! It is a bargain.

I attached this to my front door frame using velcro and it has held in place perfectly! i tested twice since my purchase which was a little over 30 days now. This alarm is so LOUD! once you figure out how to set the alarm and the different features it has, you'll feel much more secure than you did before you bought it!

The three main things i needed were, easy to install, worked every time, and was very loud.. This alarm hit all the marks.. and then the price was low as well? I was very skeptical when it came in.. after almost a year of using it.. Both thumbs up..

Bought this alarm to signal if children opened the door at night. Alarm works ok as long as the door is shut back after opening. I’m glad I figured this out before putting screws in the door to install it. I guess it would work if your criminals have good enough manners to shut the door behind them.

El producto excedio mis expectativas, no explica bien y al principio pense que cada que abriera la puerta iba a tener que introducir el codigo pero no, les explico, primeramente se peograma el codigo que quiera usarse (vienen las instrucciones y es muy facil), ya programado se instala en la puerta, aqui es lo uncio malo, trae por la parte de atras de la unidad un agujero para colgarse como si fuera retrato pero al estar en una puerta se va a mover y podria dar falsas alarmas, yo opte por ponerle cinta doble cara, pero el problema viene que las pilas quedan por atras (vienen con una tapa con tornillo lo cual es bueno) y al nexesitar cambiarselas se va a tener que despegar de la puerta, bueno, ya instalado se pone el codigo y da como 30 segundos para salir y cerrar la puerta, en caso de no cerrarla en ese tiempo sonara la alarma, asi ya queda armada la alarma, ya sea que uno este dentro o fuera de la casa, despues al abrir nuevamente la puerta sonara un bip y da 40 segundos para poner el codigo o sonara la alarma, en caso de estar dentro de la casa solo basta ponee el codigo sin abrir y dara un bip y quedara desarmada, una vez desarmada la alarma asi queda hasta wue se vuelva a introducir el codigo y se arme asi que cuando no se use quedara desactivada sin necesidad de poner el codigo cada que se abra, esto me gusto y resultomuy practico,la recomiendo.

Doing its purpose, loud alarm

El material es de buena calidad, las baterias ya van para el mes y no las he reemplazado. La alarma la instale en la entrada principal de un edificio de departamentos de tres pisos, y se escucha hasta la azotea, entra y sale gente a cada rato. Es bueno escuchar la alarma de entradas y salidas, asi sabes q la puerta se abrio y tomas las precauciones de srguridad necesarias, ya sea dentro de tu departamento o que estes en alguna otra area del edificio. La alarma con retardo funciona, si quieres controlar los accesos de los vecinos, q no entren personas extrañas, etc. sobre todo para no dejar la puerta abierta, pero por el momento los vecinos con el simple hecho de escuchar el timbre ya lo relacionaron con cierrar la puerta. Si logro el objetivo que requeriamos, avisarnos de las entradas y q no olviden cerrar la puerta.
