Briefly, California passed Proposition 65 which established very stringent standards for hundreds of toxic substances including certain heavy metals. The substance(s) in question in their pomegranate powder is probably lead and/or cadmium. The standards set by Proposition 65 are controversial, so you will need to research and make up your own mind.

Where did the fiber go? Does this mean it is powdered juice not powdered whole fruit?

Hello! According to Navitas Naturals website, they extract the seeds and juice them, then freeze dry the liquid from the seeds. Why is the powder pink and not a dark red to purple? Pomegranite juice is dark red. I'd think the dried concentrate would be even darker.
