This booklet was clearly written by someone who was not a native English speaker and who doesn't speak it particularly well. This was obstructive and annoying but I still was able to get out of it what I had intended. I got about 3/4 of the way through "Crime and Punishment" and thought to myself, "I must be missing some very important element of this book. This is one of the pillars of the Western Canon. I must be just too dumb to get it." It was so tiresome, Raskolnikov so relatable, I was so bored with his endless whining and wallowing, his manic/depressive bounces between being the most depraved of all men and being the Ubermensch, I just couldn't stand it any more. The Cliff notes confirmed me view and I left off reading the book without a qualm.

I dont expect a thorough scholarly analysis from cliff notes, but this was clearly written for somebody who doesnt want to read the book. This is not a companion to the book nor does it offer deeper insights of any sort.

A good introduction to this psychological study of actions and regrets

This is the only time I ever used one of these. It helped me pinpoint parts of the book that I needed for writing a paper. Very helpful.

Cannot go wrong reading Cliffs Notes prior to reading the subject volume. Highly recommend Cliffs Notes. They are the first thing I look for before purchasing most books.

Greatly improved my ability to read and appreciate Crime & Punishment

Reading the full text is no easier than it was in college, over a half century ago. Too many Characters !1
