Samsung Galaxy S7 Case LED View Flip Cover - Black

I really like this case. Unlike the "Clear View" covers from Samsung, this one has the slot in the inside front for a credit card or transit card. I think one card would be the maximum; I do not know how well the materials would cope with two or more cards stuffed in there.The LED-dots display is handy for basic information such as the time, an envelope icon to indicate a message received, incoming call, etc. In theory, you can answer the phone by sliding your finger across the display part of the cover and talk with the cover closed. However, that action feels a little unnatural, and it seems just as easy to flip open the cover.Build quality is what you expect from an OEM case, which is to say the fit is perfect, color is an appropriate compliment for the device (I have the gold), and although the case grabs the phone only by the corners, it feels secure. I have not had the phone pop out unexpectedly so far.I have seen multiple reviews here mentioning that the electronics in the cover can be fragile. While I have not had that experience myself, I can easily believe it. The case feels well made, but of very light materials. I doubt it would stand up to much abuse. This is a 'slim' case that would offer basic protection for the screen and corners. If you are looking for something to protect from drops or children, you should look elsewhere.Compared to an S-View or Clear View case, this one offers a less elaborate display, better screen protection (and keeps the screen cleaner) and has the credit card slot which is the main benefit for me.

WAS A 'COIN FLIP' BETWEEN MY PROFESSIONAL ATTRACTIVE GOLD LEATHERLIKE COLOR OR A BRIGHT STANDOUT. 2 PC, EASY TO INSERT PHONE, ALL FEATURES FIT. WOULD LIKE MAGNETIZED COVER TO LEAVE OPENED ALL THE WAY, BUT THIS CLOSES SUFFICIENTLY. AM STILL LEARNING ALL THE NICE FANCY HANDY FEATURES, MY GRANDCHILDREN LOVE THEM..

I bought this with the knowledge that the LED lights on the front would eventually stop working. I paid $9 for it. I only use it sometimes when I'm only gonna be inside, so far mine is still working after 3 months, a tip to make it last longer is to not bend the front of the case all the way around the back to where it is folded in half with the front cover facing the back of your phone. Instead just open it like you would a book that sitting on a table.

I'm on my second one. Took me 1-2 years to wear out the first one, and I liked it so much I bought another. Has a nice protective cover. The phone itself is attached inside by magnet, plenty strong. I intent to get my third one in another year or so.

If you're going to buy this case for your phone, be careful who you purchase it through.The case itself seems like it'd be pretty fantastic, but the one that I received was most certainly not "New". It's pretty clear that the seller is trying to pass off a heavily used phone case as a new item. The interior spine of the case is heavily wrinkled from use, the plastic cups that hold the phone in place are scratched up and the top right cup is cracked, the faux leather is peeling from the back of the case, and the wallet insert is so ballooned out from being over-stuffed that the front cover won't even shut (I could not get a photo of that because I used the phone to take photos, but I did include a photo of the stretched out wallet sleeve).If you order this through Amazon, be very careful about choosing a fulfillment seller. Some of them are clearly running a con scam with these cases. I've filed a claim directly through Amazon and will be trying to get a replacement that I know is new. If and when that happens, I will update this review to reflect an as-described new case.

The LED display feature is one of the catchy features of this case however, within approximately 3 month i could no longer see the LED light display and it has not worked since. However, I still must say that this case is pretty durable and has protected my phone from a few falls. Eventually my screen broke after a fall as the front lid does not stay close. I guess it was just bad luck at the time.

I love this case. It is exactly what I was looking for & more. The more is: when the lid is shut, it shows if its charging & the time. It is a perfect fit for my samsung.

CONS:-My cover doesn't always show all of the LED's in the horizontal line of numbers, so they are hard to read sometimes.-It seems to be stuck trying to tell me I have two emails, and i have to hit the button on my phone a couple of times to get it to show me the time-it does not always show the time if I hit the button on the side of my phone to turn the cover screen on, or when i close the case (it should pop the time up automatically)-if your fingers have anything on them, and i mean anything. The case gets gross fingerprints on it from the plastic-esque material its made out of. Its just what happens with this type of finish.Pros:-I like the custom animated icons-the screen protection/corner protection it offers is nice. I dont have to be totally paranoid about accidentally dropping my phone and destroying it.-it has a nice slim profile so i can still use a belt holster for my phone instead of a purse or bag-card holder inside the case is also nice. It is very snug though. Only one card can go in it, and i wouldn't recommend something you need to take in and out of the sleeve a lot. I put my health insurance card in it and its great!
