3.5 Stars; Good for small wires.
This thing can go as small as 20ga possibly. Even smaller, but it gets tricky with insulation to wire. It gets four stars because of how small it goes and it's very effective and can get those small gage wires. Otherwise it feels flimsy. When pulling wires through, the whole thing bows and flexes. I can imagine breaking this thing with the wrong force. There's a set screw that allows you to set the depth of the blade. It would be nice of they made that a hex instead of a phillips: a better thumb screw, basically. You can probably find an easy replacement thumb screw. Get this for your smallest gauge wires and find something else for the larger guages. I haven't used this above 16ga, maybe some 14. It can fit larger wires, but I think it's too flimsy for that.

What a time saver, money well spent
Great tool. Worked exactly as we hoped and made stripping numerous long lengths of electric cable very easy. Instructions were easy to follow and tool is made of quality material. Would highly recommend.

Cheap and misleading
The stripper itself is made of cheap material, and the compression system operates poorly. When you put the wire into the wheel you have to guide it into a larger hole than necessary, otherwise the insulation/coating has a habit of bunching and flaring out. The wire will also get caught in the wheel, this makes getting a straight cut difficult. THHN and similar Thermoplastic insulated wire will be difficult to strip. As an electrician and long time scrapper this product is not worth the money.

It strips wire
This does work to strip wire. It’s just time-consuming and the blades don’t seem to last very long, but it does strip wire.

Works well with small guages
This is very convenient for stripping smaller guage wire that otherwise would be annoying trying to cut with a knife. For sure paid for itself within my first use. I was initially a little disappointed because at first it didnt work super well but after the blade dulled a little bit and I had more practice it got smoother.
