I was impressed by this product as I had heard about it but never experienced it.Brings new life back antique cylindrical wood/coal stoves like the old warm mornings and king-o-heat stoves that no longer have the fire bricks (as these are impossible to find and extremely expensive at best).Needs the rigidizer to function correctly.Highly recommended!

My husband is building our wood cook stove from scratch. He doesn’t want our house too hot so he got this insulation to help keep it down. This is made of very good quality material and the price is good. Grateful we found this on amazon for the size and thickness.

I refurbished an electric stove and used this to replace the insulation around the oven. Much better than the insulation that was on the oven originally. I was able to rap the oven and fill in gaps . The oven is performing beautifully.

My husband was upset when I paid much more for this product than what he would have bought as an insulation replacement ar Lowes. After seeing what the original insulation looked like, burned to a crisp, I decided to research wood furnace insulations. Since our wood furnace sits on our screened in porch and runs through a duct on the outside of our house we are more prone to heat loss before the air even gets into the house. He complained about the price the entire time he was installing it. Then, after running the wood stove for a few days in negative wind chill temperature he changed his tune. He said he could not believe it but the insulation worked great. You can put your hand on the outside of the stove and there is no heat transfer. It takes less wood to keep the house warm because we are not losing it to the outside. Now he is singing its praises! It is a great product and we are considering it for other uses too. You will not be disappointed with it, guaranteed. We had a water break in our yard this week. After he repaired it (frigged temps) he wrapped a scrap of the insulation around the joints. He is confident it will help protect it until spring when he can dig up the entire line for replacement. He's a true believer. :-)

I love this stuff. It allows you to build any size furnace you need to. I have used it coated with fire ceramic and not. It holds up better than anything I have used in the last 30 years Always wear your resperator or qualitymask when you work with it.

I called the supplier to ask a few questions and talked to a representative who answered all of my questions. Once I placed my order it was delivered in a timely manner, was well packaged and was exactly what I wanted. I used it to line a homemade pizza oven and this product seems to work as advertised for my intended use.

Expensive but when you need it, you need it. Worked well for my outdoor wood fired oven.
