At least for this user, the 10 minute time is -- ahem -- optimistic. Having said that, it is still a very helpful tool. I was needing perhaps something a bit more basic as I'm transitioning to gmail and lacking in familiarity with it's basic functions, layout, etc.

Very basically done. I was ready to deletegmail. This opened my eyes and now I like Gmail much better.

The primary reason for my purchase of this book was to understand more about the labels used within gmail (instead of folders) for organizing my contacts and their subsequent messages.I realized that I have been using Microsoft products for too long and am used to the folder method of organizing my information. It is second nature to me and I have decided to stick with that. I will handle all of my messages through Outlook so it is a moot point for me.However, if there are others out there that are NOT entrenched with the folder method of organization, then it would benefit you to get this book since it makes it easier to understand how to set up the labels and use colors and select indicators to organize your information.I ordered the Kindle version to use with my PC Kindle app so that I could access the information right away. That was really helpful because I was also teaching my sister what I learned since we both planned to use this information about labels.

The copy I received was horribly blurred on the figure illustrations. It was simply impossible to follow the tutorial. Not worth the cost...at least on the copy I received.

This book seems to be out of date. My gmail screens do not look like the illustrations in the book. Buttons described in the book do not show up on my screen. The screen illustrations in the book are too small for my less than perfect eyesight.

a well written book that eases the reader into the complexities of G-mail. If you were born and raised with Windows Explorer, this book eases you out of that routine and into an exciting experience with G-mail

This book was very helpful! I hope that they will put out an updated version.

Lots of just the information I was looking for. Except it seems that Gmail has been upgraded and changed since this volume was printed. For instance, the pictures of the screens in the book aren't the same as the screen I am looking at on my monitor. Somewhat distracting.
