All talking points are covered
I really enjoyed learning from this book. it's difficult to grasp everything in one read. I think it's better to read it and review the chapters after. I personally also took notes and underlined many of the important points. Makes it easier to recap on everything when looking back. Best to apply each example day by day. My favorite sections would be the halo effect as well as the part where they refer to the agent detection bias.

The worst book I've bought
Its structure is not well organized which makes it difficult to read. The advertising here and there also contributes to a very bad reading experience. Waste of money.

Want to Know How to Persuade an Audience? Read This Book!
Good communication is crucial. It is important in business and in life and it makes a tremendous difference when one is trying to persuade an audience and win them over to a specific point of view. A book that aims to help you speak at your most productive level is this book, How Highly Effective People Speak.I have read countless books on speaking and for the most part, they present a standard formula: Maintain eye contact, refer to people by name when possible, make sure your voice can be heard, etc, etc. But this book goes much further. It shows how using specific techniques can win over an audience to degrees you never would have thought possible. This book sets itself apart because it uses psychology. It shows how certain methods of speaking play to one’s psychological advantage, persuading people in ways that ordinary speaking techniques fail to do. A good example is storytelling. When you can attach a realistic sounding story to a message, especially if the story is one that will resonate with your listeners, you will be far more likely to persuade people to accept and adopt your position. Other ways to get a behavioral grip on your audience are through such means as the halo effect, agent detection bias, and the anchoring effect. Knowing what each of these is, and knowing how to use them to your advantage, are all covered in the pages of this handy guide.Throughout this book, readers will find small graphs to help illustrate key points. I found this visualization helpful, and I also appreciated the examples of famous speeches where the speaker effectively used one or more of the techniques described in this book. Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy, and others gave highly effective speeches that utilized the recommended tools presented in this guide. Reading these speeches, one can more readily understand how these psychological approaches make a difference when it comes to persuading an audience. There are advertisements in this book at the end of each chapter- advertisements for the author’s other books and learning materials, along with web site links to resources that will help you speak at your most effective level possible. Normally, I would find these ads a little irritating, but there is so much useful information in this book that I was more than willing to overlook this.Solid communication is an essential skill for everyone, but it is especially critical when one is attempting to give a persuasive speech. Body language, proper delivery, using complete sentences, and other factors matter, but books that focus on these strategies are a dime a dozen. How Highly Effective People Speak takes matters a step further, showing how you can sway an audience over to your point of view using tested and proven psychological strategies. It’s a book that can benefit anyone, and a book that earns my highest recommendation.
