Good tool

This Faithfull plasterers scratching tool is a good, solid bit of kit. It feels strong and well made, and it does the job exactly as it should. It seems like it should last a long time as long as it’s not abused. Happy with the quality and performance and would recommend it.

I found this a great value for money and works a treat. The size is as it is explained & easy to use. It does what it is meant for.

This was my first attempt at rendering, so I don't have anything to compare this to, but it worked well. Does what it's supposed to do. Could be better value for a plastic handle with some metal prongs.

Forget the new style scarifiers stamped out of flat sheet, they don't work well in my experience, whereas this traditionally designed one does! This is because the round wire it's made from has enough stiffness to scratch plaster that is already going off. In addition, the width of scratch can be controlled depending on how hard you press. Not so on the others. These are sturdy enough to last for years (my original one is 17 years old and still going strong) and the tool is easy to clean. It's a reasonable price, too. If you need a scratcher forget the wider, stamped sheet wall ticklers, and buy this one. You'll be glad you did.
