Midori Aluminium + Wood Ruler 15cm Dark Brown (42258006)

With both sides are 15cm measurement, thats really nice for measuring left and right side! The aluminum used has quality, being lightweight and strong for a stationary. The wood is flimsy tho, it feels like made with Ikea pencils. Since it’s for aesthetic, I don’t mind its existence.

This is one of the nicest tools I’ve owned.The ruler is sleek: - It folds smoothly into itself, making a subtle, yet satisfying, clasp-click sound when the metal reaches the metal upon closing it - The protractor lets you measure angles - The ridge (where the ruler connects and disconnects to fold) doesn’t affect the straightness of a line drawn - The tension from the hinge is loose enough for easy opening and closing, while tight enough to maintain an angle - The measurement markings are etched in and then painted - The ruler is small in both height and length (when folded)A couple of additional notes: For people who measure in inches, this measures only in millimeters and centimeters; conversion is an option. Also, while the hinge should last a long time, I’d be careful with opening and bending the ruler just in case.This ruler is well-designed, and I recommend it for anyone who wants a portable multipurpose ruler.

It is durable, effective, slim and extends. Really great.

This material is aluminum lightweight: Silver or black, both are beautiful. They fold in half; on one side it does allow to draw a straight line! The 30 cm are very legible. There are no inch-indications! (30cm = 11.89”). Portable great for travel!

The image and description clearly show that this is a metric rule, so this is no ding on the company at all. But if you're US person looking quickly, you might assume there would also be inch marks, but there are not. The ruler itself is lightweight, sturdy, and straight when folded out.

This is a high-quality, very well manufactured products. The edges are square, and noticeably so, but not Sharp. The joint in the middle is well machined and flawless. The ruler does not bend as it is thick aluminum and it doesn't flop around loosely or fold back in on itself unless you're giving it a bit of pressure while you use it. I have kind of a firm grip and unless I intentionally want to move it it won't flop around on me at the hinge. I really like that I can fold it down into half of its length to fit in my pochade box. I also like that it's much lighter than a steel ruler would be. I have the black one and it's also quite snazzy looking and attractive.

Overall, this ruler is amazing. It's a sturdy aluminum ruler with a fastened, smooth metal joint. The edges are sharp so that unfolding the ruler makes sure the entire line is straight. The markings don't fade away and the printing is precise and clean.Only complaint? using it as a straightedge (which I mostly do) is a little difficult because it's slippery on the bottom. Solution? Press down hard.Overall, I loved this buy. Yes, $10-ish a little much, but honestly this'll last real long if you take care of it.

I bought this not to actually use for measuring anything. It’s a straight edge for me to use while doing bullet journal. It travels well in my pencil case. A regular ruler wouldn’t travel well but this is sturdy.

The media could not be loaded.  Good rule, angles are small to read and not as precise, okay for quick read/estimate, no middle gap when extended, and each corner is quite sharp so be careful which case you put it in.

Très bonne règle, avec absolument aucun écart entre les deux parties initialement quand la règle est repliée. Cependant après quelque temps (+- 2 mois pour ma part) si votre trousse est bien fournie et que vous vous déplacez un peu il semble qu'un léger jeu se crée (rien de bien gênant mais un peu dérangeant visuellement si vous y prêtez attention). Sinon très solide et précise, l'indicateur d'angle est très pratique pour faire des schémas rapidement. Je peux tracer des traits au stylo plume avec sans causer de bavures contrairement aux autres règles, ceci grace à la finesse du corps de la règle.

It’s very handy for keeping with a sketchbook — I’ve used it to figure out the pitch of a roof of a church I was sketching, as well as the usual straight lines.It’s sturdy enough when closed, you need to be careful not to bend it when it’s open, but it’s not super-flimsy or anything.It’s really nicely made and finished, and it’s accurate — because Amazon asked I put my (expensive) callipers on it — it’s as good as dead-on. :)It’s a lovely little thing.
