They seem to be both strong & sturdy. I use mine to sort & separate pkgs of frozen veggies in the freezer. They will hold 6-8 pint size bags each so when I want carrots, I don't have to sort thru a stack of peas & broccoli to find them. So far, they have shown no signs of becoming brittle in the freezer so at this point, I am giving them a "thumbs up".

These organize my pantry perfectly. They're a great size, sturdy enough and were inexpensive.
