I bought my Godson the first generation of this projector last year for Christmas. He loved it! I like how this one you can play music through it and set a time limit. Even though, I prefer to play the music on the stereo over its small speakers. I like it a little more "symphonic" ... a little brighter ... 6/8/16- UPDATE****I decided to contact the seller in the middle of the night to explain the situation with the remote. I was shocked to see a quick response from someone In the middle of the night apologizing for the remote issue and immediately mailed a new remote and followed up with a tracking #. The remote arrived within 24 hours. The customer svc has been outstanding and that alone they deserve 5 star. Now that I can easily adjust the light with the remote it's been fantastic!!!! So many options to chose from depending on your mood plus the timer and dim/bright feature are my favorite!!! So glad I made this purchase and decided to reach out to the seller regarding the remote!! The light, remote & customer svc each get 5 stars! Highly recommend this light/remote set!***6/6/16****I purchased this upgrade version specifically for the remote so that I can set the timer or turn off the item from 5 steps away when I'm at my kids bedroom door. The light itself is great! So many options and my kids and cat love it! But save your money and skip the upgrade with the remote. I have tried it for over 1.5 weeks pointing from all different angles & directions. I even had it inches away from the unit and nothing! the remote does nothing but now collecting dust. I've been meaning to call Amazon to share this feedback but I keep forgetting until it's nighttime and I'm trying to use the remote again. I keep getting more & more frustrated. The light itself is 5 star! Crisp, clear and tons of fun for the kids!!! Would highly recommend the light but save your money and don't bother with the remote! The remote gets 0 stars!

(Update: The company was very kind to reach out to me and offer a replacement unit in compensation. This unit arrived late last week and is working fine. Thanks to the Co. for reaching out! Giving to more stars for customer service excellence.)This was a unit that I purchased last year as a fun Aurora light box for our toddler son. The unit powered up immediately and worked great for about a few months. And then.The first thing to go was the rotator mechanism for the lights. One day, after using it about twice or three times a week, the lights stopped moving. You could hear something inside whirring, but whatever it was that would catch the light, it had slipped. Distressing, but the light still shone.And then. A few months later, we took the unit out of its box to spice up the Xmas tree in our basement. Plugged it in, with no response from the unit. The cord appeared to work for power (had another 5v unit for testing), so the device itself seemed to just fail.As it was Xmas, I basically tabled this for follow-up, but it was past the Amazon return window. The unit basically say in its box until this weekend, as we started prepping for the holidays again.There's no company information in or on the box for technical support, and searching for the company name takes you to as other to order in bulk, and the device is not listed there (that I've been able to find at least). Let the buyer beware on this. Pretty, but when it fails, there's no recourse.It is a pretty lamp however, when it works.
