I love this Vitamin A&D Ointment! I use it on my baby’s dry skin and diaper area, and it works wonders. Gentle, soothing, and keeps skin soft — a must-have for the whole family.

This economical substitute for A and D ointment serves the purpose but it seems to have gotten thinner than it used to be. I’ve purchased it several times but probably won’t buy it again because it’s so thin now. Quality seems to be dropping.

My family and I used to love this product! We’re a very large family and surprisingly we were able to go through six tubes of this over the course of years. It does work well for the times when you’ve gone to the bathroom an awful lot with the flu and it also helps with chapped lips…. but it doesn’t help anymore! They’ve change the formula and it’s awful! It’s really runny the oil separate from the petroleum. And unlike one reviewer who says you have to massage and squeeze the tip a lot, I don’t feel that’s my responsibility but there responsibility. I truly hope they will correct this. Bring up the price with reasonable consideratation to be honest with us, not dishonest! I think other buyers would agree that we would still purchase this item if it was returned to its former quality. It might help if it was slightly softer than it was, but I’d much rather have that than this running oil consistency! What’s worse is that we’re allergic to it! My son used to put it on his lips and now it leaves rashes and acne. And I used to put it on my lips or my skin and my eyes just burn. There’s far too much love him are in this! I don’t know that the old former formula had it, but if it did it was much more subtle older formula was much thicker and nicer! Some people won’t be allergic to this, but if you’re allergic to lavender plants when they bloom, then you’ll probably want to steer clear of this. I love lavender plants, but they do always make my eyes burn. This doesn’t make my skin burn, fortunately, but just so you know, it is strong. I did kind of get desensitized to it after several minutes, but I can already feel my eyes starting to get a little bit watery. If you want a bargain, then find this brand petroleum jelly tubes. Those are pretty good. That’s what I prefer and they’re not super running like this.

I just received my 6 tubes of A & D ointment, and I feel it's the right thing to do to get online to give a review. These tubes are very big!! The ointment, although I haven't used it yet, seems right on board for what this type of ointment should be. Side note: A & D is very helpful for dry skin, especially if you have itchy skin that is hard to quench. Thanks for an amazing amount of product for such a low price. Comes out to $2 per tube, and the tubes are huge!
