AmPro T19701 6 LED Flashlight with Magnetic Pick-up Tool

Very functional. I gave my last one away to the oil burner repair man when he lost a screw down inside another part. I love it, so I'm buying another.

I purchased this along with a similar product from amazon with the idea that I'd keep the best one for myself and give the other away at my car clubs annual White Elephant gift exchange. here's the other one I bought: Heininger Automotive 5552 Flexi-Lite -Lighted Magnetic Pick-Up I like this light it's more compact the entire retrieval tip fully retracts into the handle. Because of that there is not room for the expected AA or AAA batteries. this uses small watch type batteries that are more expensive and less available. It remains to be seen how long they'll last but I'm concerned that when I really need this I'll find the batteries are dead.

This arrived in a huge box with just the flashlight and receipt. No packaging or packing material and it was pretty banged up and scratched. It didn't work because battery was dead. After a new battery I did decide to keep it because it was very handy. Although the replacement battery did cost more than the entire light.

The exentable pickup broke after 3 months sparing use.Very flimsy not durable. Its not the ideal mechanics tool,as its typically like the old radio antenna. Once broken, the extendable pickup will never work again. It now can be used as a flashlight only :)

I use this all the time. Sure enough on the first day I received it, I was working on my bike and dropped a bolt. Just pull on the lens housing and the magnetic tip pops out. Pull it all the way out and angle it. Works great.

AmPros flashlight/magnetic pickup tool is a must have for any mechanic. It has come in handy so many times for me but now the bulbs are not as bright as they once were.

I use this tool to locate and pull cat toys out from under the couch, loveseat, coffee table, dresser, etc. I use the flashlight to locate the toy, then I extend the wand and make a hook at the end to bring the toy out . I have used the magnet on the end of the wand to pick up embroidery needles and sewing pins that had scattered on the carpet. Very easy to use!

light is enough for lighting exactly the area where bot or nut may rest )) not great as an ordinary flash lighttelescopic part broke after couple of dozens times of operation.
