I have never appreciated lighters intended for survival uses because the volatiles tend to evaporate, and will let you when you really need it. The solution I worked out was to vacuum-seal the filled lighter and keep it submerged in water. The lighter will be available for dependable use for months.This lighter is small, but effective. I'm glad to have it in my bugout bag.

Nice little item to add to my kit. I will update as soon as I find my fluid or buy another can 🤦🏻‍♂️. It does spark, also dropped it in bowl of water and next morning no moisture & still sparking. Hopefully this will halt evaporation of fluid also. I carry numerous fire starters in my kit from the striker, butane, light anywhere stick matches & now this is being added. Super small, and love the flint holder has wick holder built on (yes I know I’ll go through all those flints plus some before I replace a wick but still cool). Literally can’t beat the price for this nice addition to the kit! Recommended 👍🏼

It's a fun little novelty type lighter and looks nice. It seems pretty well made and comes with some flints and extra wick. It's a good deal overall but I wouldn't say it's a survival item, more like emergency. I just don't think it will hold fluid that long and it doesn't hold that much anyways.

This lighter is great especially on the keys. Easy to use for the most part as long as you already understand how to maintain petrol style lighters. Replacing the wick is a huge pain but I’ve learned a reliable way to do it over the time the I’ve had it. It also did not come with the extra wick and flints as pictured in the listing but the lighter itself is too good not to give 5 stars. I highly recommend to anyone who likes the idea of having a zippo style lighter in a small package or on their keys
