Portable Industrial 18 Gallon Oil Waste Drain Tank Pan for Lift Jack Hoist Shop Crane Air Operated Drainer

Absolutely met my expectations. Positioned in my car pit down in the metal shop out of the way and with much more capacity than a single oil change, it sits there quietly holding used motor oil or used tractor hydraulic oil and even both at the same time! It's magnificent! I added a couple of large nuts to space out the smaller front wheels that gambol because the engineers that designed the foot brackets, or the manufacturing company did not do a "CHECK FIT" as most AMERICAN companies do. Otherwise they would have noticed it tilts forward about 5 degrees. Now that I have finished MAKING IT CORRECTLY FOR THEM, it looks like intended. The nifty brass quarter turn valve that holds air pressure in so the oil lifts out the flexible drain tube is large enough for the pan pipe to slide right through. Be sure to mark the place on the rigid drain pipe where it is high enough to CLEAR the valve so there is no guessing and damaging the valve when air lifting the waste oils out. All I have to do now is place a bucket near the pit. WATCH OUT! If you are not able to shut off the output of the oil coming out, the captured air will just keep on pushing out the oil. This thing holds more that THREE 5 gallon buckets volume. Takes two people to dump, one down to fast release the air pressure while the person on top changes to the next bucket and gets a misty oil shower when the quarter turn valve is used to relieve the air pressure down in the pit. There really needs to be a shut off valve at the end of flex tube to enable changing buckets. Now I just have to try it to see if it all works.

Excellent value for the money charged. Arrived in good shape, very little to do to finish assembly. Study, and rolls easily, even with oli tank half full. To empty is a simply task ... connect shop air, raise to highest point so as to be able to shut the valve, and the drain process starts immediately. Built in pressure regualtor works fine & is easy to use. Empties waste oil into a container or whatever means you are using to recycle the used motor oil.If you have a lift, this is a "must have". A true value for the money.

It does exactly what its supposed to do. For the price, I feel the quality control could have been slightly better. Mine arrived with one end slightly tilted because the leading wheel bracket is bent just a touch lower than the other. It should not effect operation, but being OCD, I will need to bend it to be level with the other side.The other important note here is that the back wheels do not come preinstalled. Installation requires a snap ring plier. Guess who didn't have one? I guess it is assumed that if you are buying this, you will own a snap ring plier. I must have lent someone mine a number of years ago, can't find mine, and had to buy another. I'm trying not to let this alter my rating of an otherwise sturdy product, but you should be aware of this so you don't open the package and become frustrated.

Great design in general but after attaching the tube to the tank the ball valve handle would not turn without hitting.

I absolutely love this. Like other people said, don't be stupid and put more than a couple pounds of air into it when emptying. With the air regulator it's very easy to control oil pump out. Don't forget to remove the little locking screw from the regulator knob before trying to turn the regulator knob. The whole unit is well made. Funnel is heavy duty. Everything works perfect. Paint is decent. Tank is nice and heavy and will never tip. Wheels roll perfectly. My only surprise is the price on this unit now. It is shown here listed at $194. I paid $140 from this same seller. You can now find it cheaper at hf..

My customer could not use this item, it would not work, I had bought 2 other 18 gallons, they wanted a little better quality however it was not quite the same, by only complaint was it cost me $81.+ dollars to return and I lost money on the deal, I went back and ordered again the one I bought before.I don't know if I will buy outside of direct from Amazon.

All painted red parts are built well but the chrome areas and hardware came rusted and cut at bad angles. The hose is also rather cheaply built. Good product for the price, it get's the job done.

This oil drain tank works perfect for my shop. I have a lift in my shop and this tank makes changing the oil in my personal vehicles easy. It is easy to use and is well built, simple to assemble, only takes about 20 minutes following the directions. It is easily moved with the wheels, and doesn't take up a lot of space when not in use. Makes changing your own oil fun instead of a pain. I would recommend this product.
