The marina got too greedy
Why haven’t I changes my boat oil for years. $600 for winterizing was the last straw. Works very well

Sensational
Marina and mechanics always trying to rip you off so this just sidesteps them and you get what put in not a cheap substitute of oil or filter. Worth it and encourages you to do it more frequent.

Excellent pump, discard and replace the supplied hose
This pump made changing my boat's oil a breeze. The only issue I ran into is the distance from the top of my dipstick connection to the top of the bilge was real tight for the height of this unit. So check before you buy. Also, the tube supplied with this is like concrete, not flexible at all. I have no idea who spec'd that out but I mean, it is rigid! I had a piece of clear tubing lying around that worked great and you can see the oil in it. Pumped about 6.5 quarts in a few minutes. Make sure you warm your engine first.

useful. Very well
Easy to use. took me only 20 minutes to change the oil, but there's alot of hand pumping involved. It would be better if the hose included was clear and also longer. Made in China, the older ones were made here and a little sturdier.

Worked Perfectly but buy a different hose
I use this product to change the oil on my Volvo penta 5.0. It took me less than 10 minutes to pump all of the oil out. I took the advice of several other reviewers and purchased a 3 foot piece of automotive hose from my local auto parts store. That made it a lot simpler to extend the hose into my oil pan. I would highly recommend this product!

Oil Change on boat motor
I have a 1994 Cobalt with Volvo Penta 5.7 GI. The drain plug on this engine is in the worst place. I would have to drain it straight into the hull and out the hole in the bottom. This pump directly attaches to the dipstick port and you can pump out the oil cleanly into a canister. It takes a little bit - around 15min, but the dipstick port is easily accessible, the procedure is clean without messes and if you only have to do it once a year this is by far the way to go. The pump looks like it's good quality and will be a good tool over the years.

Useless for oil change on a boat. No adapters. Inflexible oversized hose. Wasted money.
Useless for oil changes on boats. Unless your have a way to hook a garden hose to your engine this is worthless. Pump has very little draw. Hose is rigid garbage. Total waste of time and money.

This lil guy works like a champ
Pulled all the oil out in under 10 minutes. Initially I thought it would take longer but once it started going, long steady strokes was all it took. Worked better than my Moeller oil extractor that I used the last time. (which was more than twice the cost). The other issue with the Moeller is that you have the oil ending up in the pump which then needs to be transferred to a container for disposal creating another mess. With this, I was able to go straight into the disposal container eliminating a step and mess. Amazon wont let me load pictures of it being used. ugghhhh. Guess Ill shoot a video next timeOh and I did not warm up the motor. Oil had been sitting at the bottom (didnt want to have it all up in the engine anyways) and it sucked it up easily enough. (Note temp outside was 60Deg. Maybe an issue in colder climates.
