Ocean Potion Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 Scent of Sunshine 6.8 Ounces

This is my go to sunscreen brand, and the only sunscreen I have bought in the past 2 years. It has a pleasant smell, nothing like other sunscreens, goes on smooth and is moisturizing and gives amazing protection. During the summer we are out on the boat, doing swim lessons, or playing in a pool atleast 2x a week sometimes more.When we have friends that come out with us, they have borrowed ours and next trip they have bought their own! I hate smelling like sunscreen and this has a tropical scent. The sport also has a cooling sensation which is nice when you are out in the hot sun. I am big on reapplying throughout the day and do so every 90-120min. It works so well that we can spend all day in 100+ degree temps with direct sun and constant water exposure and walk away with hardly a tan. If I want the color I just reapply less frequently. Fact of the matter, you use sunscreen to keep your skin healthy and Ocean Option does that.It's not greasy but still a but heavy for use on the face, so I would suggest using a facial sunscreen instead.

LOVE this product. I started using this sunscreen several years ago (back when it came in a purple bottle; there was a light blue one that I liked as well) because it actually doesn't smell like sunscreen; this one smells a lot like orange creamcicle. It also has a very light, fresh feeling going on, unlike many other sunscreens. I have also used Neutrogena's ultra sheer sunscreen and can say that despite the claims on the bottle, Neutrogena is considerably greasier than Ocean Potion. I also think that because of the lighter texture, it's easier to get ample coverage with Ocean Potion; as a result, I have gotten sunburned less often with Ocean Potion than with Neutrogena. My only complaint is that at the end of the day if I rub my skin, grimy gray stuff rubs off -- like a combination of dead skin and sunscreen. Haven't noticed this with other brands (Neutrogena, Aveeno) but I think the pros far outweigh this one con. Can't find this product in stores where I live, so I've started buying it online; absolutely worth it.

I will not buy any other type of sunscreen again! I love this stuff! The smell literally should be bottled and labeled as a "sunshine by the ocean" perfume scent. My husband and i traveled to Kauai a few years ago and decided we'd get sunscreen on the island to make sure we got what the locals used. As well as something "reef friendly" while swimming and snorkeling in the ocean. We thought it was cute that the label stated "smells like sunshine in a bottle." Boy they weren't kidding, the smell took me back to my childhood! Its very moisturizing and although it feels like its thick when you squeeze it out of the bottle, it soaks into your skin pretty well.

Sunscreen is Satan's moisturizer. I hate everything about it: the sliminess, the smell, the sticky, tacky feeling after you put it on...But I was going to be spending the day at Disneyland, and I figured I had to bite the bullet and purchase some sunscream. First off, this stuff WORKS. I'm extremely prone to getting sunburned, and after a full 8 hour day outside with only ONE application, I wasn't burned or red at all. Second, and just as important in my book, is the smell. It didn't make me want to vomit-- in fact, it was actually kind of pleasant. All in all, I'm extremely happy with this necessary evil of a product. It's the only sunscreen I'll use from here on out (although hopefully I won't have to use it again for a long while).

My husband is a sweet, fair-skinned ginger. I rarely burn on the best of hot sunny days. This works for both of us. We went to the beach, and in direct enough sun - covered. Anything we forgot got colored or red - anything we covered, barely picked up color. I am now more careful with putting this on -- It really works for us.Do wish it didn't burn the eyes so much -- hubby was uncomfortable for a while, though it does swing in roundabouts.

very happy with this! it is a gel like consistency. dries almost instantly and doesn't make my darker skin have a weird white or lavender sheen some sunblocks do. smells delicious too! I will be buying the kid's version of this next time though since it seems to be at least 2 dollars less and the exact same great formula and size. thank you for not making me look ashy or feel greasy on my quest to protect my skin from sun damage! also it's like a sunblock perfume. me gusta. i will definitely be looking into more of your products. you knocked this one out of the park.

I either got a defective batch or this has changed. My husband and I have both burnt despite wearing this sunscreen and re-applying liberally, and we've both broken out in a rash from it. We know the rash is from the sunscreen because it's distinctly only in places that we put sunscreen. The "scent of sunshine" smell that we all love is similar to the old formula that was in the yellow bottle, but it's just slightly different. I get a banana smell from this bottle that I didn't smell in the yellow bottle formula.

This is my favorite sunscreen ever. I was afraid that Ocean Potion had discontinued it, but I contacted the company and discovered that only the packaging had changed (former bottle was pinkish-purple). I sunburn easily, and this works as expected. It feels slightly greasy going on, but absorbs quickly. The best thing for me, though, is the scent. I have never worn a perfume or any scented product that I have had as many complements on as what I've received with this sunscreen. It smells delicious---fruity and refreshing. Another bonus that I've noticed is that, if I use it on my hands on a regular basis, my normally brittle fingernails are much stronger.
