I bought this charger because to install a mains unit was very very costly!.THis charger is simple to use straight out of the packing.Just connect the 3 pin UK plug into the mains supply - then - connect the charging socket to the fitting on your car.Switch on! - simple as that.The charger allows you to charge at 3 x different rates.I charged at the 'fast' rate and my car charged from 15% to 100% in just over 4 hours.Yes, the mains meter did speed up when using the charger but that was totally expected.The unit itself is sturdy as described and could be 'run over' by accident and still survive the event, as mentioned in the selling spiel.This charger would be excellent for travelling if you have a fully hybrid car and relied on a full charger to drive with - my car is petrol/ electric so not as important.The unit was not expensive compared to fitting a home wall socket and the bonus is it fits neatly into its charging bag for storage in the boot of your car.More than happy to give the unit 5 x stars.

The media could not be loaded.  I have a Renault Zoe Electric and need this charger so I can plug it in at work.The charger comes in a carry case so you can keep it tidy in your boot.It has a long 8M cable which is very strong and tough.The display is nice and easy to read and the button is easy to press to select the different amp.I have had it charging for a 12 hour shift at work and my battery manages to be fully charged. The charger did not heat up at all and when finished it’s very easy to roll up and put back in the carry case.Overall I am delighted with this charger and it’s great value for money. Very good build quality and works great.

Writing a review for the first time as this isn’t about a defective product or not being happy about what I bought… this product is dangerous and the seller is unaccountable for anything (warranty note is a black on white lie). So advising people to be careful with this purchase, after only two months of using the charger it nearly burnt down my garage and there is no way to claim on the warranty or even contact the seller. I’m not saying all chargers will have this fault but is it worth the risk? I’ve been very fortunate in this circumstance and hope all the chargers out there work fine, but had to share this as this could have gone a very differently with potentially catastrophic consequences. I’m angry with myself for buying a product that put the life’s of my family at risk and trusted a product description that seems to be whatever the seller wants to say with no vetting!

First of all I would just like to say that the speed of delivery was incredible; I ordered yesterday with an estimated delivery time of 3 days and it turned up less than 20 hours after ordering. Amazing.The quality of the product isn't the best and I feel that if I had paid £20-30 more for another brand then the quality would have been noticable. The cable feels somewhat average quality, hence the drop of one star.The carry bag is very useful, the interface is easy to use on the charger despite being sluggish and the length of the cable really suits me.If the quality of the cable had been just a little bit better then this item would be 100% perfect. Currently sat charging at 12A, 2.9KWh which is absolutely ideal for someone who doesn't have a home charging pod yet.

Just had my new electric car, and, unlike the last one I had, it was not provided with a "granny charger". Got this one from Amazon for a reasonable price. It turned up on time and came with a nice case to keep it in. It worked straight away, was easy to set up and did all it was expected to do. What more do you want? Only been using it for 2 months, so will see how reliable it is.

Very good product great quality

People who have an EV know that you need to be able to charge it at any opportunity possible to ensure that you always have that range available as such you should have some way of charging on the go whether it be plugging into a friend's house or at one of the numerous charging points out and about. This is why I needed to get myself a granny charger which allows me to trickle charge my car wherever there's a normal plug.This will charge up to 3.3 kilowatts which should be plenty to charge your vehicle overnight as long as you have plenty of time available then it's a great way to keep your batteries topped up me personally I keep this inside of my vehicle so I can use it as and when I want to and as it comes in its own bag which keeps it nicely packed up and away when not in use it's easy to keep it stored in the front of the car ready to go.

Used every couple of days on my brand new EV. Always worked and the 13amp charge knocked 4.5 hours off the 10amp charge whilst some say you should only charge at 10amp I never had any issues.The 8m lead was the real bonus here as 5m just isn't long enough. This has been outside in the rain and has never missed a beat!Charged my car from 30% to 80% overnight and never gave me a worry.Highly recommended as I carefully researched others and this was the better one I found.
