You get what you pay for
I wanted a high quality hdmi cable for my high end home audio video setup after the crappy monster cable hdmi cable literally quit working completely in the middle of watching a movie. No warning. No degredation. No movement of the equipment. It just quit. But what do you expect from a Monster cable. I bought it when I needed to quickly connect the the 8k player and streaming device and the screen over a 20 foot distance but then it never got upgraded because…… life. So after a few days with no audio video enjoyment and trouble shooting my system in disbelief that a cable no matter how crappy could just quit working I finally did the right thing and upgraded to the audio quest hdmi to match every other audio and video connection in my system (which are quite a few). I guess what would I expect? It was a monster cable—designed to be a monstrous disappointment at a moderate price. The picture quality and audio immediately improved and it was a relief to see the system pop back to life the minute I connected the cable. At 5 meters you want a good quality cable to prevent degradation. As with all my other AQ cables you can feel the quality the minute you open the box. So now thanks to the monster cable crapping out I’m finally enjoying the AV experience I should’ve from the start. I typically prefer the braided outer cable but it appears at longer distance it comes with only the heavier PVC coating — knowing the company I’m sure there’s a good reason. They look great, the connections are snap tight, and I’m happy with them as always. It’s definitely not cheap but to be honest only a fraction of the cost of the rest of the system and to be fair I’ve spent a great deal more on much shorter AQ cables for other components I’d recommend them to anyone. They look great of course which no one but you will see. But the quality of the sound or image is significantly better and with cables up to 20yrs or more older never has even one ever broken or quit working.

HUGE DIFFERENCE!
I had been using Monster Ultra 4K cables with my 4K TV and 4K Onkyo Amp in a full Dolby setup, but I didn’t know what I was missing. Now upgrading to an 85”-8K TV with an 8K Denon Amp and 8K Sony Bluray and 3 pairs of Definitive Technologies Dolby Atmos speakers with two 10” subs. In order to get the “full range output” of all those 8K devices without any restrictions, I needed to use “wide open” superhighway HDMI cables by AudioQuest. I used the Vodka version on all my short spans, and only use 1 Cinnamon version on a 15 foot run as that length gets a bit pricey using Vodka quality. These higher quality cables definitely made the difference! The proof? I am now hearing NEW sounds and seeing NEW visual details in all my older 4K blurays and all current TV broadcasts! It’s like inheriting a whole new library to re-experience all over again!! To test the difference I replaced a Vodka cable with one of my Monster Ultra cables and it was like night and day so I quickly changed back to Vodka and trashed my Monster cables. If you want to get your moneys-worth from all your hardware, you MUST use these AudioQuest high quality cables. It’s like buying a Ferrari but then using skinny retread tires. You’ll never know what you are missing. JUST BE SURE TO WATCH THE ARROWS ON THE CONNECTORS AS THESE CABLES ARE DIRECTIONAL.

Great Cable
I’m one of those a cable is a cable people until now. I previously purchased a cheaper cable that was highly recommended. I started having issues streaming due to the cable not being certified ( guessing due to an error message). I decided to buy this cable going from my a/v to the tv. I will tell you there is a noticeable difference. I used the audio quest pearl for my ps5 and Apple TV. Overall there was a noticeable difference in picture and sound, but not for what the price of the cable is. With that said I feel the cable while a very good one is priced much too high. I don’t plan on ever having to replace anymore hdmi cables so maybe overtime it’ll be worth the price. If you want to purchase an audio quest cable but the price seems a bit steep; I’d recommend going to the pearl series.

Solid construction, worth the price
AQ is a reliable brand, the image becomes more natural and better shadows degradation.

I don't see a change
I don't know if this HDMI cable really changes the quality of the signal of my image from my source to my TV. I'm using one of 2024's best OLED Televisions, the LG G4. I haven't swapped and compared, like an A - B test, but I've paid attention to how my standard HDMIs look, and I don't see any difference with the AudioQuest Cinnamon Cables. Now, what about sound quality? I don't notice a difference in that either, and I'm going from Source > TV > AVR > Speakers (eArc connection). It's definitely a sexy cable and it's sturdy and shiny, but I don't know if it's actually doing anything extra to improve my sound or visual quality. I feel like I'm the idiot the anti-audiophiles online laugh at, and I'm not willing to listen to them because I wanted to try it out and listen for myself. Could I be wrong? Perhaps. I'm willing to be open minded about it. Maybe my setup isn't going to see any improvement with these HDMI cables. Perhaps someone else out there has heard and seen a difference that isn't placebo.
