You need a very specific door for this to work
I have had door alarms in the past that you place gently under the door and if the door is opened onto it the alarm sounds. That's what I assumed this was given it states its for hotels and travel. This one you have to wedge it far under the door to push down the sensor and then if it is opened and released the alarm will sound. I ran into several issues with it in a hotel. It would not fit under the door enough to silence the sensor because there wasn't a huge gap under the hotel door (and I don't believe there ever would be?). Also if I had managed to get it under, the door in the hotel (and in every hotel I've ever been in) swings into the room, so the door alarm would only sound in that case if the door pushed the wedge with it, came loose from the wedge after it was opened and swung closed again. That's a lot of time if someone unwanted is entering your space. I gave it 3 stars though because its decent value for money and they did work and were loud. If you have an outward opening door that has a decent sized gap under it, these will work!

A little slippery
I use these as a backup to my regular alarm system here at home. I would say in general they work. On my wood-look ceramic tile floor they tend to slip when you open the door instead of catching under the door and setting off the alarm. I fixed it by putting Velcro on the bottom of the wedge and on the floor. It is not ideal to have to do that but it works. As for the alarm, it's loud enough to wake you up if it goes off, so that part works well. I guess if you used it in a hotel room while traveling and there was carpet, it would work very well. If there is slick tile as is the case in a lot of hotel rooms, it may not work well. I feel overall for the money it is a good purchase.

For Your Information
A bit light in weight but, not too flimsy. This is a 3 pk which is what I needed but, one of the three didn't work. Hopefully they will just send me another to replace it without me having to go through the hassle of taking it to a UPS Store to be returned to them, just isn't worth the risk of possibly coming in contact with the Corona. On the plus side... these DO what they are supposed to andthey do it LOUDLY. :) I placed one 'of the working ones' at our back door and forgot it was there and about had a heart attack when I opened the door! Over all I think it's a decent product and definitely would be great for someone living in an appartment or staying in a motel with the one main door! Great Christmas Stocking Stuffer for your kid living in a college dorm or on campus. I will probably be getting a couple more to put in my own kids' stockings now that they have recently gotten their own appartments. :)Not a bad idea for elderly persons to have either.

Not as good as Sabre door stopper alarm
I have had a Sabre door stopper alarm for 3+ years now that has never failed me. I decided to order some more to place these at all the doors in my house for added security and saw that these come in a two pack for a good price. They work but the quality is much much lower and I will eventually end up just giving these away and getting two more Sabre door stopper alarms. My issues with these are that they slide way too easily. When I arm them and place them at my doors, the door will open and these door alarms don’t go off- they just slide with the door as it opens. There’s rubber or something on the underside of the wedge that is supposed to keep it in place should it get pushed, but it is useless unless you realllllly jam that door wedge underneath the door, which doesn’t help because then you’ve set off your own alarm. Most of the time when I use these, I don’t turn on the alarm and just use them as wedges so I can really wedge them under the doors. This defeats the purpose.

Not for use on floors.
When used on a hardwood floor, this isn't a door stop, it's more of a door slide. If you open the door, it just slides along, just behind the door.. The alarm doesn't trigger because the bottom of the door doesn't place any pressure to the top of the stop if it can't stay in place. It must be stopped in place for the door to trigger the alarm..If you have a carpet then it may actually work for you.The alarm is pretty loud, it reminds me of a noisy Personal Alarm Keychain I got in Japan (like 20 yrs ago). It'd definetly wake me up, and get me on alert. I think I'd be able to hear it over a loud movie or music.I don't recommend buying this if you have a nosy little cat.The only time it went off (aside from when I initially tested it) were the times my cat decided to check it out. To my surprise, the alarm didn't scare him off! He was sitting there pawing at it still, maybe he was trying to shut it off again.. Then later as if once wasn't enough, he went to do it again. Idk why I even left it out, as it's pretty useless on my floor.

AMAZING
This product is amazing and I'm now recommending it to all of my friends! I work for Rover, so I spend a lot of time staying in other people's houses caring for their animals. At times I have to stay in spare rooms in odd parts of the house and without locks on the door, which makes me feel uneasy as I am in the unfamiliar home of someone I do not know well. A friend of mine suggested that I get these because it will give me peace of mind about anyone entering the house while I am asleep and I can testify that this product is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! I got mine in the mail with batteries that I bought separately and the trick to the batteries is that you have to slide them in to place instead of trying to put the positive and negative side in first and forcing it in. It was very easy once I figured it out. I tested these out on even the lowest sound level and they are very loud. The alarm is very similar to a fire alarm in the high pitched fast beep. SUPER helpful and I'm glad I finally found something that works so I won't have to stay awake all night worrying!

Very effective
I am alone most of the time and it is very helpful in keeping me feel safe. The alarm itself will yell at you that I feel like the whole town can hear it lol. If you're looking for a door alarm, this might be the one. Know that the door should be "even" to the floor if you plan on purchasing this.

Exactly like the add description
I use it in my condo and when I’m in a hotel by the front door. Puts my mind at ease as it does not let the door open! The alarm is extremely loud (which I guess is good to scare the person from continuously trying to get into your place). It’s not easy to get the battery out but it’s not hard. Worth it to make me feel safer.

The door lock jammer worked really well. However the floor door stopper alarm fell apart. While I was testing it out it came apart
