Messy bottle, good product.
Hi. My name is Bryan, and I don't use cheap laundry detergent.Usually, I find out a laundry detergent is crappy after using it for a couple of months and seeing how dingy my clothes are becoming. I've used some cheap stuff in the past. That's why I have been extremely reluctant to use anything except Tide for the last ten years or so. No matter what kind of Tide you get, you know it's going to do the job.I don't really like using pods, though, because I sometimes have some very small washes that don't need a whole pod. So I did some research. I found this stuff listed very highly on Consumer Reports, and the reviews here on Amazon were pretty decent as well. I figured I would give it a shot.It seems as if most of the negative reviews have centered around the smell. Now it is common knowledge that most folks use as much as ten times more laundry detergent than they really need to do the job, and I'd like to tell a story to illustrate this. Laundry detergent companies have long been in a quandary because they know that consumers tend to use too much of their product. By using too much of the product, the product is less effective. But it also means that more gets sold. So what do laundry detergent companies do?Proctor & Gamble's solution was to introduce the pods. The purpose of the pod is to regulate the amount of laundry detergent being used, and it can be sold at a price point that both makes the company higher profits *and* saves the consumer money. A few months ago, when I was in the middle of moving, I found myself at a laundromat one evening watching more than one person who didn't understand this basic concept. One lady put four pods into a single load of laundry. The other part about the smell that I'm quite painfully aware of is that a new product with a different smell is going to feel out of place for a while. That's why I never switch deodorant and rarely switch shampoo.I decided that since the smell was the primary turn off, and since most people tend to use way too much detergent, that this was probably some pretty good stuff. My first impression was that the smell was strong while the wash and dry cycles were going, but I can hardly smell it on my clothes at all now that I'm wearing them.My impression on what it has done with the wash is pretty high as well. My cottons feel soft, and the whites came out bright. If I notice that my clothes start becoming dingy after a couple of months, I will come back and update my review. For now, though, I have to say that it passes the use test. My one complaint is that the bottle is very, very messy.

AMAZING
Easily the best laundry detergent I have ever used!!!! It got SHARPIE OFF A WHITE TOWEL. SHARPIE. It’s so hard to find, which isn’t surprising because if you’ve ever used it before, you can never stop. My white clothes are the whitest they have ever been. I stain my clothes ALL THE TIME and I don’t even have to bother pretreating them anymore. It’s almost embarrassing how much I talk about this laundry detergent to people because it’s literally changed my life. Only thing I’ll say is that I still wash my sheets with Tide because this made my face breakout, but that’s probably just because the fragrance is so nice and I have a sensitive face

Best Detergent Ever!
After watching the commercials for Persil singing it’s praises for brightening clothes, removing stains and having a, great smell I decided it was worth $12 to find out if it was as good as they claimed! My daughter, who has terribly sensitive skin, had no problems with it irritating her skin. We both LOVE the scent, which we like even better than Gain. And not only did it brighten some dull colors (by getting all the dirt and residual deodorant buildup removed) but I was amazed that without any additional stain remover added, it cleaned a very bloody washcloth to Snow White…to my amazement. I gave my cousin a cup or two to try on her laundry, and she texted me that it got her stubborn stains out! To me this detergent is a game changer! I wish I would have had it when my kids were little! It will take out stains you don’t even know you have! 😉

Strong stuff
I just started using Lume deodorant and they suggest that before using their deodorant, you pre-treat all your clothes with Persil or some pet odor remover spray to help break down the oils embedded in the armpit of your clothes. I'd never heard of this detergent so I'm new to it. I definitely noticed that all traces of my previous deodorants are gone. This stuff is good. Might even be better than my Tide. I am not too fond of the scent. It really smells like an industrial clean scent to me. My husband started using it to soak his "lawn clothes" before washing and he's very pleased with the results. We may switch to his brand permanently. Also, I have sensitive skin and have not noticed any allergic reactions using this brand.

This stuff is awesome!
Wow; here's what I've discovered:1st: this stuff cleans, I mean gets my clothes clean2nd: I have many sports/synthetic fabric that takes a beating and tends to hold on to my stink-this stuff removes it making my friends and anyone standing around me happy3rd: it has a clear bottle with an okay port at the bottom which allows you, if you give it time, to use all the detergent in the bottle...yes, I've got issues and don't like to waste product4th: the scent might be too strong for many, but I don't mind it5th: I think this product cleans so well, it helps keep my HE washer clean and slow down the number of clean cycles I need to run in it6th: see pics for more details

Does a great job at cleaning, I just wish it didn't smell so horrible.
I have been a powdered Tide with Bleach user for years, and just wanted to try something because the newer formulations of that don't seem to clean as well, or remove grease as well. This does a fabulous job of cleaning, but man, the smell is horrendous. It's so strong that when I run a wash in my basement, I smell it through the whole house when the washing machine drains. Thankfully the smell dissipates relatively quickly once the clothing is dried, but I wish I didn't have to wait for that.If they made a "low scent" version, I'd be all over it. As it is, I only use it for when I really have a tough cleaning job.
