Much less tearout than with 4 spur drive. Spring-loaded center point makes it easy when centering pieces.

Works great
The first one I received was great for two pieces and then the center wouldn’t move in or out. I contacted the seller and sent a couple of pictures. The seller immediately contacted me and sent a brand new one that’s worked just fine. The first one is still usable and I keep hoping that the center will pop back out sometime. Seller was super to work with.

Center pin knocks out, stuck in lathe
The first time I used it, I used it in the center of the workpiece. Using it in the center it did not drive well- it spun and the piece kept stalling. I bought it to use on an angle for multi-axis turning and that worked well enough at first.However, when I was done using it the first time and tried to knock it out of the lathe, the spring-loaded center just knocked completely out, so I had to find another way to pry it out of the lathe. Of course the spring and pin fell into a massive pile of wood shavings under the lathe, not yet to be found.Even if I found them, they won't press in hard enough to not be knocked back out.

Works well on my midi lathe
Works well on my lathe allowing me to turn thinner pieces than the original drive center. Seems of excellent quality. Have used for about a month with no issues.

Great value for money
Works perfectly even at its low price. The spring has a long reach on the central point so it is very easy to locate into your centre dimple. The grip is as good as any other drive that I have.

Works very well totally impressed
I really like the spur Drive 5/8 is just right for a lot of small things the spring loaded tip is just strong enough overall I give it 10 out of 10
