Artaste56389 Rain 18/10 Stainless Steel Flatware 20-Piece Set, Service for 4

I had always loved the Dansk pattern Classique, which is now discontinued and very hard to locate. It is a bit heavier and more streamlined that Artaste Rain, but similar in appearance and VERY expensive! Artiste Rain comes in either glossy or brushed, which Classique did not, and Rain has more extra pieces from which to choose. I am sorry that it is made in China, but many top brands now are, including Dansk.Rain is a beautiful pattern, simple and clean, but not “mod” looking. However, its’ lines are such that it can easily fit in either casual or more formal settings. The price is very comfortable, also. I am quite pleased with this purchase, and highly recommend it!

I am so happy with this silverware set! I was looking for something inexpensive, with a simple design, and a high-quality feel. It was a bit of a gamble, ordering online, as you have to make some assumptions about the "feel" of the product. Let me just tell you that I was not disappointed. Maybe I'm a little OCD about my silverware, but I haven't really found a set that I've liked, and I'm almost 50 years old! They are either too heavy, too light, have an annoying embellishment, a sharp edge, or fork tines bend too easily. Or sometimes they just don't feel right in your hand for whatever reason. (Is it just me??)The pros: - very nice high-quality feel - smooth finish with rounded edges - a nice "weight" to them without being too heavy - extremely strong fork tines - clean, simple lookThe (one) con: - The larger of the spoons is just too large - why???? This set would be perfect if you could comfortably fit that spoon into your mouth. But as it is, we pretty much only use those four as serving spoons. Ugh. Still - I gave this set 5 stars because I have been through at least a dozen sets of silverware in my lifetime, and so far, this is my favorite. And I spent a full day researching on Amazon, and couldn't find anything else of this high quality for this great price. If anyone else has a better find - let me know! :-)

I reordered a set of four placesetting of Artaste just now, because of a few of the spoons from the set I bought in 2016 went missing.I’m happy to say the new set is close to an exact match to my first set.Just a few, most minute, dimensional changes; one has to look hard to notice them.Really, the Artaste flatware set is a quality product.The utensils are well balanced in the hand, durable, and have a classic design.I’m glad they are still available.Amazon, TY.

I've been looking for silverware for quite some time but I could not find anything with any weight that was 18/10 Stainless that I could afford. I could find what I could afford (uh huh) and I could find pretty 18/10, but not both. Then I came across this set I was thrilled. It looked nice and weighty and I crossed my fingers until it got here - I was not disappointed. The luster and shine is true to 18/10 Stainless and this set is beautifully fabricated with well polished edges and beautiful shine. I tend to look for a long time before I purchase things for my home and I've been using the same flatware for over 30 years. I wanted a set for my camper (no, I'm not a plastic and paper plate kinda gal) and ordered these with the idea that it would be nice enough for that. Well ... I guess I'm going to put my old set (which is lovely) in the camper and order two more sets of these for the house. Hubby loves them (says they feel good in the hand) ! It you like elegant simplicity - this is it!

These delight me. I loved our stainless that we got from Crate and Barrell when we got married, but after 20 years some pieces have disappeared and we tried to patch in with things that were close, but not exact. One of the patch sets we bought was a bunch of Rain teaspoons. I found myself seeking out the Rain teaspoons instead of the wedding set because I loved them so much. When our kid moved to college this week, one of the first things we did was pack up the wedding set for her for the future, and get a whole matching set of Rain, plus the serving set. It's lovely!They feel good in my hands, the flat end gives you something substantial to grab onto. I just love them! There's the whole Marie Kondo thing of "if it doesn't spark joy, let it go" and these really spark joy for me!

I don't often write reviews, but this flatware set is well made 80/10 stainless. Has washed well so far. The thing I like most is that it is heavier than the cheaper flatware. It feels good in my hands, and I bet it really does in a man's. I believe it will go with my china as well as everyday dishes. I will buy more while it is available on Amazon. I hope they sell it on here for a long time so I can replace pieces as needed. We have a fork stealer at my house. They just disappear. LOL

I like the design and the pieces are reasonably heavy. They would seem to have manufacturing issues though being that a number of the pieces, especially knives, came with tiny scratches. This is for everyday so I didn't make a big deal but you can feel the scratches with a fingernail. Also they endured the dishwasher pretty well but they are extremely prone to spotting. I washed a set of new stainless pots the same day and they came out spotless. Both in a high end dishwasher with rinse aid and softened water. These replaced a Walmart Chinese heavy stainless set that I paid very little for and had for probably 15+ years that were better quality and heavier. Never spots or rust. I have not had rust yet on this set but watching.

TBH, I wasn't expecting much for this price. I don't like forks that bend but for this price, that's what I expected. However, this recipient wanted it. Wow! Was I surprised! this set was as study, strong and as nicely designed as any set that I've spent much, much more on for one place setting. I highly recommend this lovely, sturdy set of stainless!
