What do you expect for $10?
5 stars! It does the job for the rock bottom price of $10. Be amazed!Ok, here is reality. I have used this unit for 7 months to experiment with a 100W system. It regulates the charging of my very nice no maintenance lead acid batteries. It knows how to do this and most of the time it also knows that I am setup in 12v mode.1. Do not use the 12v extension or the 5v USB connections. They really are not functional for any reasonable current output. The board will stress, a resistor heats up on the board and the LCD will blink out temporarily.I have not fried the board but I would advise connecting all power draw, USB or otherwise through a fuse block directly from your batteries.Sometimes the controller decides for no good reason that you are in 24 volt mode. This isn't good because it seems to happen when my battery is almost fully charged over 13V. That means it will try to overdrive well over 14V and possibly 6 or more amps into a full battery. This is no good.If you catch this your first easy sign is the battery charge picture will say barely charged... Disconnect the solar, then the battery... Wait 15 seconds then plug the battery back in... Carefully connect your solar panel. Pray it stays in 12V modeAt the moment I unplug the solar panel when the battery is mostly charged and the system decides that it's 24V. I am only using this as a test bed drawing small energy for 5V USB networks at the moment. When I get serious and add more power and a proper converter I will pay good money for a real controller. So, great for the low price of $10 , great learning tool but pay real money if you want a reliable system you can count on.

worked great to replace my Harbor Freight controller
This worked great to replace my Harbor Freight controller that came with the HFT solar kit. I used this for many months straight, it worked perfect and was reliable. Highly recommended.

Not so easy to read in the dark.
Good product! (I have three…! I wish there was a built in backlight for the display… or maybe they do have one, but I received no instructions with any of them.

Exceeded expectations
I am quite impressed with this product which exceeded my expectations. It's accurate and dependable with a high quality circuit board. (photo) To ensure accuracy, use heavy gauge wire to the battery to minimize voltage drop. The rear metal surface serves as a heatsink for the power devices. If the unit is not mounted on a metal surface, use standoffs for air circulation. It's not waterproof as stated by the manufacturer. If it accidentally gets wet, don't attempt to use it until it dries out. The power source can be a DC power supply, solar panel, DC wind or water generator. I would recommend adding fuses for the input and output wiring for protection.

Temp
Melted while using less than thirty amps. I had two 100 watt solar panels running to it. Of course it ceased to work.

Solar charge controller
My first one did not work properly I bought another one and sent the old one back and then I also sent one to a friend of mine he has not hooked up his at all or attempted to use it I have been using mine for a few months now and it's great it puts out 24 volts but does not allow the batteries to get more than 16 volts on them great product exactly what they said it is the quality is great there's no Bluetooth but best value for your money and it's very durable

Good for small projects
Works ok but setup is hard to understand when programing for different battery styles or setting the auxiliary light output to come on/off at a set time. Probably best used for small off grid projects like a pond pump/light etc. I would not rely on this to run an RV or other larger system.

Charge controller
This little charge controller is amazing for a single 100W solar panel. It had two USB outputs, battery output and an output for a light.I’m able to charge two 130W battery backups in just a few hours.Phone and drones can be endless charging here in So Cal.Definitely would buy again
