Gas Cylinder Heavy Duty for Herman Miller Classic Aeron Chair as Replacement

Unfortunately this cyliner only worked for a few months before it started to leak...

The media could not be loaded. On arrival this gas cylinder looked excellent. Well packaged and arrived quickly.Instructions were almost non-existent - "go find a YouTube video...." - and no mention of the tools you would need (a pipe wrench and a solid, non-damaging mallet).However, I overcame these obstacles quite easily and managed to get it swapped over.My original chair gas cylinder for my Herman Miller Classic Aeron Chair has lasted from 2004 until 2023 and took a bit of effort to remove, but I got it removed and replaced it with this and made the necessary adjustments so it worked perfectly - hooray!After just 2 days I noticed the chair felt a little wobbly from side to side and front to back. Everytime I move in the chair it feels more unstable.The photo shows where the top part of the wider section of the cylinder seems to be coming away from the main section, and this is what is causing the wobbling. The video shows the actual extent of the problem, with the top part rocking from side to side, and this is getting worse every day and I'm sure will eventually break away completely.I'll be returning this and buying something else.
