Angelus Acrylic Leather Paint, White, 1 oz

I could not be happier with this leather paint. After finishing nursing school, I had decided I wasn't going to ever need my white Dansko nursing shoes again. Anywhere I was going to be working would allow me to wear dark colored shoes or sneakers of my choice. While I wasn't going to use them for nursing, I wasn't going to throw them out either, because they are incredibly comfortable. So what if they were white, they made great yard shoes and I for the next few years spent lots of time wearing them working in the garden, yard and barn. I even used them when I stained the concrete on the back patio. That stain actually made them kind of a pretty. White shoes with a brown and red tie-dyed/splattered pattern. Maintenace for the shoes was non-existant except for an occational hosing off. A few years have passed, and I now need white nursing shoes. Too bad the nice, expensive, well broken in shoes have been abused. Knowing they would cost about $100 to replace, I decided to give refurbishment a try. Before using the paint, I cleaned the shoes as best I could with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. I really wish I took a before picture, but that only occurred to me after they started looking good. I think in the back of my mind, the shoes were too far gone. Yes, it took several coats before the splatter pattern was completely gone but the paint dries fairly quickly. The little brush included with the paint was useless for my purposes. Application was much easier with a regular paint brush I had from a previous project. Overall, I am amazed how well this solution worked.

I used this to paint a friend’s leather jacket with the design he’d been wanting from his favorite band. I was very nervous that I would mess it up but after watching some tutorials on using their other products for preparing the leather everything worked great. It was easy to use and even though the bottle is small, a little bit went a long way. So far the paint has held up well and still looks great even without me sealing it.

Had to fix some of my shoes from discoloration. This paint is small but will paint lots of shoes. It worked great on my Adidas golf shoes. Will try on others. It works, but will have to see how long it lasts or stays on due to weather and elements.

The polish worked really good on my white dress shoes. It made them look like a new shoe from the skid marks on them.
