Reliable and Efficient Welding Rods
I recently used the Forney 30705 E7018 Welding Rods for a few of my DIY projects, and they’ve quickly become a staple in my workshop. These 3/32-inch rods in the 5-pound pack have proven to be incredibly reliable and efficient.The first thing that struck me was the ease of striking and maintaining an arc. Even for someone who doesn’t weld every day, these rods make the process smooth and hassle-free. I’ve tackled a range of projects, from fixing a broken trailer hitch to fabricating custom brackets, and these rods have consistently delivered strong, clean welds.One aspect I appreciate is the low spatter. It makes for much cleaner work, reducing the amount of cleanup needed afterward. Plus, the slag is easy to chip off, which saves me time and effort.I did notice that they run a bit hot, so adjusting the amperage was necessary to get the best results. Once I dialed in the right settings, the performance was stellar.
